18/1/2021 21:19 | Big oil deal in the Delta. SEPL is very cheap. | krall
15/1/2021 15:46 | Proverbial dog this one Should have gapped up to over a pound after it broke out but not this one I hate stocks that do not perform as it says on the tin | basem1
11/1/2021 19:06 | Very cheap EV / 2P is $9.4 boe | yellowdog
08/1/2021 20:37 | Agreed - surprises my lack of PI interest. These guys bought some great assets in the takeover from Eland which prompted me to take a position. | awise355
08/1/2021 12:56 | Looks far too cheap to me following the surge in oil prices. | spooky
06/1/2021 09:38 | Under normal circumstances I would say there is a large gap up to just over a pound But this stock cannot be trusted as I have found out to my cost previously | basem1

13/7/2020 11:21 | Seplat seems not to have heard (BAML Presentation 2020; Annual Report 2019) that an Energy Transition is in play, instead being very much focussed on building a gas business in Nigeria with a “Robust Strategy for Growth” promising to “maximise production and cash flows from operated assets; move up 2C resources into 2P reserves category; commercialise and produce gas reserves etc etc” The Majors are setting the pace in signalling Energy Transition ambitions and their commitments suggest some reasonable questions of SEPL: 1. Are they reporting, or planning to report, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions? 2. Do the forward plans and performance metrics relate to reducing these emissions? 3. Is the CEO, and his senior colleagues, rewarded for delivering on these ambitions? Unfortunately the answer to these questions appears to be No, No and (thus, inevitably) No, at least based on the most recent Annual Report(2019). In fact the company’s strategic priorities in Nigeria are growth related i.e delivering production and cash flow, adding further upstream gas resource and additional reserves…..add Nothing wrong with that you might say but expectations may be changing…̷ | frightened city
07/5/2020 23:27 | Historically (been here before) I just receive in dollars as I use ISA nominee accounts and notifying registrars is not a serious option - hasn't been a problem - lose a bit on translation but not much. | podgyted
07/5/2020 14:26 | Had you thought about the currency you would elect to receive the dividend in ? I believe it's in dollars unless you notify the registrars ? | basem1
07/5/2020 11:03 | Seems to go XD on Monday (yes, Monday according to the RNS - Nigerian SE link in?)for a 5c dividend which is over 7%. Oil hedges and gas production may result in a similar interim - who knows. Anyway put a little money here to see how develops - seems pretty lowly rated even for a Nigerian oil producer in these turbulent times. | podgyted
31/3/2020 22:33 | Not quite a positive position as net debt $456m against $414m to be returned Hopefully my thinking is correct | basem1
31/3/2020 22:28 | rolo as regards the loan to Elcrest Those monies are due back to Seplat by the end of 2024 ($414m) Have I interpretated this correctly ? It would leave SEPL in a positive cash position and make the ELA deal look very cheap indeed Just making sure I'm looking at this correctly | basem1
31/3/2020 22:17 | poppop4 sepl very poorly traded, nigeria not so populat with investors, director owns alot of shares freefloat small. | rolo7
31/3/2020 22:09 | Who recommended it to you poppop ? It is not widely traded and quite illiquid Looks good value with almost half of production as gas, hedging in place and lowest industry costs anywhere | basem1
31/3/2020 19:34 | Brought this share on recommendation but am not sure I was right, why so few trades and very little movement on price on HL why? appreciate any info | poppop4
