oilandgas1 we are at about 95m now so x 10 = around £10 a share.

@someuwin - any idea what the share price would be to sell at 1bn?

Shares in issue are about 80m

=> valuation of 1bn would mean share price of 1.25£

I tend to err on the lower side of expectations ( rarely does any share mutlibag straight away .. so modest increase tomorrow of maybe 10-20p? For gas discovery until more detailed info available)

It says in the Shares Mag article in the header that PW hinted that they might look to sell out at $1bn valuation once they get to 20k boepd.

Today's news brings that point a lot closer.

Agreed del best not to get too carried away but I think we can afford ourselves a nice celebration today because if nothing else now SDX ought to start to find it's truer valuation.

Word of caution. The valuation attributed to the gas target by analysts is based on both gas and condensate being present.

We have yet to hear anything about condensate being found. If it's not there we'll need to scale back valuation significantly.

you arent far off with that soulsauce. Oil would add another £1 IMO.

Then you start to look at how much of their licence has this derisked and the potential for the even bigger SD-1 Deep.

But lets not get too carried away just yet.

Always worth highlighting that SDX was cheap as chips without SD. It is generating shedloads of free cash flow as it is.

Definitely paulie, I have a list as long as my arm including NOP, TRP, PXOG, COP SQZ and many others I have forgotten along the way.
Lets hope we get our long awaited rewards here ;-)

OMG - can someone give me a shake. Have I woken up yet or is this just a dream.

Have I really got my first success in an oiler after many many years of being in the wrong one's.

So this was going to 100p without success at SD-1 just on current and increased production from existing fields.
So what now, we ought to be banging another 50p on top of that target - so 150p for starters.

hold on to these shares, if they manage to get the entire portfolio producing 25k boepd, then its worth a billion, I can see this happening within 2 years...

that's a 10 bagger, great thing is they have ZERO debt!!!

He fact that the 3D was spot on tells us that the oil is there and for me that is the real game changer. ..GKP mark 2. Gas alone worth £1.50 based on edison report. How much value doc we attribute to the oil.Also SD2 LINED UP TOO

thanks for your sympathy.

My holding in SDX is my second biggest position in regular equities at 5% - biggest is HUR which is 6% (other holdings in prefs/bonds are bigger but v different animals.

It's a shame the London market is closed today whilst the TSX is open, so it's difficult to add to positions before the market is fully awake - which is something I often do. All that said I am ready to buy tomorrow if the price has not taken off. I have no probs averaging up and am ready to increase my position above 5% on the basis that the risk/reward balance has just improved because explo risk at SD has gone - leastways wrt the upper gas target.

It's all looking pretty good.

Also sorry to hear about the infection picked up in India tournesol! The jet-lag will pass and I hope the infection does quickly too. Looks like my planned lower price top up will not be possible now. Oh well. Shame but may still consider topping up depending on the reaction or just wait for a bad day in the markets. We aren't going to keep going up and up as we are now unfortunately. Great news SDX, a nice Easter present indeed.

At present this find is worth over 90m to us, PW said the find was to board predrill expectations.Company believed there is 300-400 bcf of gas under their..This can touch £1 tomorrow.. IMHODon't forget the wells deeper potential for oil, that's worth double what the gas is..Hold your shares tight....
