02/10/2018 10:15 | Plentymorefish I object to your mischaracterisation of my previous post. I did not slap anybody down and I was not condescending. I just asked for clarification. I certainly meant no offence and if the person I was responding to took offence then I apologise. I don't think it is good for you to take offence on his/her behalf. This is a crowded place where we all jostle each other accidentally all the time without any ill will. If someone writes a hasty post on a phone on a crowded train they probably do not spend hours considering whether it is possible to misinterpret what they say. | tournesol
02/10/2018 10:05 | I didn't say there were and neither did the poster you so condescendingly slapped down. It's clear from the last few posts that not many (if any) posters were aware of these rumours prior to suspension. The rumours that were (allegedly) 'circulating' were referenced by SDX as being the trigger to suspend the shares as per the (partial) RNS of 20/09/2018 explaining the suspension: 20 September 2018 SDX ENERGY INC. ("SDX" or the "Company") Recent press speculation SDX Energy Inc. (TSXV, AIM: SDX), the North Africa focused oil and gas company, notes the recent press speculation relating to the Company. End of conversation. Adieu | plentymorefish
02/10/2018 09:32 | Plenty fish ...It's clear melody9999 meant that prior to suspension the share price did not react to the 'rumours' circulating in the press that led to the suspension…. Is it? That's not how I read his/her comment. For one thing I do not think there were any rumours circulating before suspension. Not circulating widely at any rate. I was certainly unaware of any rumours before the suspension RNS. T | tournesol
02/10/2018 09:19 | shakeypremis' post 6835 had this link: Now that tweet is a screenshot of a bloomberg news item referring to the story. The tweet has a timestamp of 5.58am on the 20th Sept. But I don't know if the tweeter was in another time zone and whether it was still before market open in the UK. It could be that bloomberg approached SDX to confirm the story, and when that happened they asked for suspension. | haideralifool
02/10/2018 09:18 | Company must of got wind there was going to be a press release and suspended ahead of it. | darola
02/10/2018 09:06 | The first mention of it was on the late morning of the suspension via Bloomberg I believe. | ifthecapfits
02/10/2018 08:51 | No, I searched for those media rumours at the time of the suspension and also found nothing. | bountyhunter
02/10/2018 08:47 | tournesol - you are not necessarily correct. The SDX RNS acknowledged that some kind of news must have leaked. It referenced the press speculation. Did any of that speculation take place before the price was suspended and when the market was open, or only when the market was closed and/or post suspension? It is not entirely clear. There was indeed no significant share price reaction and that struck me as a little strange in view of the referenced speculation. However, I have not found a source for any press speculation that pre-dated the suspension. Has anyone else? | saucepan
02/10/2018 08:42 | Hi T Since you're here and SDX is suspended, did I3E make it onto your radar, given their interest in an ex-Dana asset? Sorry for the OT everyone else. | haideralifool
02/10/2018 08:41 | tournesol So what kind of response do you think they could possibly show? slightly remorseful? at least a little embarrassed? lol | hcminpastry
02/10/2018 08:39 | It's clear melody9999 meant that prior to suspension the share price did not react to the 'rumours' circulating in the press that led to the suspension. | plentymorefish
02/10/2018 08:37 | Melody ...the share price showed no response to those rumours… You do know the shares have been suspended don't you? So what kind of response do you think they could possibly show? | tournesol
01/10/2018 19:13 | 6943 SDX Energy came out swinging for the big leagues last week when it confirmed it was in the process of working on a substantial deal in Egypt. On September 20, SDX – in response to rumours circulating in the press – said it was in talks on acquiring a “significant package of assets” in Egypt, from BP. Well the share price showed no response to those rumours. Having said that, PW would not have issued the RNS early unless he thought that that someone was about to 'spill the beans'. | melody9999
01/10/2018 13:01 | Not the first time I've seen you make that post, flower. | fardels bear

28/9/2018 08:38 | What utter nonsense!!! | potential
28/9/2018 08:12 | ride dalce that's an utterly ridiculous suggestion if that really is what you think then you should find someone else to make investment decisions on your behalf | tournesol
28/9/2018 07:48 | If this deal goes through I hope we'll be getting a divi. | ride daice
28/9/2018 05:47 | I would be interested in the presentation of the sensitivity presentation regarding the deal - for the whole Co. ' POO and (eventual) debt repayment ' interest rates sensitivity decommissioning deal structure long term contracts formulas and mature fields further development potential (not taken into account) also what happens to the current assets? - meaning that the purchase has to be self financing - meaning no dumping of new shares issued for some time is required in the deal | kaos3
27/9/2018 22:56 | For me, the main difference between the SQZ deal and the SDX one is the historical payments problem the Egyptians have had. A wholly debt based deal sounds risky to me. There's a slide somewhere in the SDX presentations which shows that the company has only ever raised money from shareholders at prices higher than the previous raise. They're not scared of raising money from shareholders but are proud of the fact that shareholders have always done well out of it. I think there will be a raise and perhaps PIs will be invited to the party? I think it may put a dampener on the extent of any share price rise. I think the jam will be like the little dinky pots you get in hotels, but the big jar will be a bit in the distance, perhaps as the cashflows start coming in. Just my 2p. | haideralifool
