22/8/2015 13:01 | Shore Capital said yields were "minuscule" and the upside looked limited relative to market cap. "Considering that Scotgold's market cap is a relatively full £8.5m, the upside looks rather limited to us, particularly given that Scotgold still has to raise the funds with which to construct the project (let alone keep the company going)," Shore Capital analyst Yuen Low said in a note. | 0405

13/8/2015 10:33 | Interesting evening at the presentation and the video was also of interest, when the two are combined a far better picture is formed of the clear direction the company is taking . There is always one numpty at every one of these presentations and the entire audience had a great laugh at the end as someone put the numpty firmly in his place | vfb1888
13/8/2015 08:24 | Don't like this end of the year or by 1st quarter of 2016 for finance, I'm afraid they're going to get caught up in the market turmoil, the only saving grace which should help might be the price of gold I only hope we're more advanced than that at this current time, mind you after the market crash the US will instigate QE4, it's just this interim period in which Scotgold are negotiating couldn't be a worse time in my opinion | 0405

12/8/2015 15:31 | 0405 maybe a bit of short closing on gold / gold shares just now...big 200ma trend still down. gold 200ma @ 1200 or so so just a small bounce from lows. if a big selloff materializes in dow/ftse then historically gold and gov bonds/UK gilts the place to be. the standout gold share to be in 2001/2 and again in 2008 was randgold resources up 250% and 58% respectively in those periods sgz could be well placed with it's sound project npv's down to $700, they should use this in there correspondance as randgold have recently! from recent Q2 results: "In the 20 years of Randgold's existence, we have made no material changes to our core strategy, but the refinements we introduced when we saw the downturn coming, and the fact that our business models were prudently based on $1 000 per ounce, are enabling us actively to manage the weakening gold price. At the halfway mark we remain on course to achieve our market guidance for 2015," Bristow said. | mab
