I actually bought two lots today without any issues and that’s with x-o who often aren’t the best..admittedly smallish amounts so maybe that’s why 🤔

You can declare your holding whenever you like - even if not mandatory as in this case. I suppose if you do, they feel obliged to publish it.

@skyship & @MRF. Thank you for the comments; the common theme for both inputs, being that these deals, large relative to daily volumes, are likely to have taken days to assemble and fill.

I would go further, a buy order for the shares was probably been put in a week ago starting at 47p and the market maker has been accumulating shares, most probably each day at a certain percentage of daily average volume ti keep liquidity in order to do it and has only now passed the required amount over to its new owner at the weighted average! I'll bet you won't see a RNS detailing a seller in the next few days, let's see.

nexus - looks to me like a worked sale done over a number of days by one MM. A large chunk was satisfied by the 1.44m purchase at 48.5p on Wednesday.

@MRF. Sure. The large trade qty and lower price relative to time adjacent trades ranging between 48.50p & 48.68p suggest that 48.20p was BID. If I had gone to market and requested 3.45mn shares I'm certain I would not have been offered them at 48.20p each. Indeed I'd have probably had to split the BUY order into more than 10 lots to have had any chance of them being filled.

Edit: No certainty that we will see a TR1 as 3.45mn shares is just 0.7% of shares outstanding

Interesting you call them sales instead of buys. What would you have to have observed to call them "buys". For what it's worth most of the rest of your post made sense and I was able to understand it, but that statement about looks like a sale, can you explain that statement in more detail please?
