Bit idiotic of you all really. If sle is that bad and your crowd are constantly circulating it can't be as bad as you make out, as who would want to spend as much time and effort against a company for nothing unless they have an agenda and that is very plain to see your crowd do. I will let you work that out. Suppose even thats not going to happen this year, after they sold the largest gas field in Europe for over a decade for a couple of quid. | witheco

06/1/2017 16:18 | Bust firm Afren pursues partner over oilfield JAMIE NIMMO 4 hours ago Oriental Energy Resources was alleged to have made unauthorised payments to Afren's former boss Osman Shahenshah Collapsed oil firm Afren is poised to launch legal action against the Nigerian firm accused of helping its former bosses funnel cash out of the business. Administrators Alix Partners, which took control of the former stock-market darling when it went bust in 2015, said it had begun “pre-action steps” against Oriental Energy Resources, Afren’s operating partner on the Ebok oilfield off the Nigerian coast. The action relates to “alleged misappropriations of Ebok oil cargoes and certain alleged fraudulent transactions”. The administrators’ Afren’s chief executive Osman Shahenshah and chief operating officer Shahid Ullah — part of a team who referred to themselves as “the A team” — were fired in 2014 after a review by Willkie Farr & Gallagher claimed they had received millions of pounds in unauthorised payments from Oriental in connection with a deal for $400 million in funding from Afren. Both strongly denied any wrongdoing. Oriental also refuted the claims, arguing that law firm’s findings were “little more than a collection of suppositions, unsupported innuendoes and a series of false and defamatory statements”. It went on to strip Afren of its stake in the oilfield after alleging it had breached their deal. Afren insists it still has a legal interest in Ebok and is taking Oriental to court in Nigeria to enforce its claim. The company collapsed in 2015 under the weight of huge debts when the oil price halved, wiping out shareholders. It had a market value of £1.6 billion before the oil price slide took hold in 2014. The administrators said they continued to support enquiries by “UK law enforcement agencies”, thought to include the SFO. A spokesman for the SFO refused to confirm its interest in Afren, but said it was “aware of the situation”. Alix Partners declined to comment further on the legal issues. Oriental could not be reached. | o1lman

06/1/2017 15:56 | 1550 GMT Nigeria's oil woes continue as the U.K.'s Royal Dutch Shell announced it closed a 140,000 barrels a day oil pipeline in the country, citing a fire as the reason. Olivier Jakob from the Switzerland-based Petromatrix says that the Nigerian government was trying to come to a financial settlement with militants in the form of a "peace-allowance", but this had yet to be fully rolled out as yet. He adds that it is going to take time for global refiners to fully trust Nigerian crude deliveries again. | o1lman
