There's a function on MS EXCEL that let's you calculate what SLE management thinks it's assets are going to be worth at any moment in any period of time. Type in any cell '=RND ()'. In fact to save money on the accounts - they should populate there asset and liability sheet on this basis going forward, it will be a huge improvement on there evaluation models currently.

they have sold two J/V's for 9 mill u$ and a euro, so the value of the assets in Poland are now worth circa 4 mill euros, quite a fall, I wonder why the management never saw that coming ?

The Directors have considered the licence, exploration and appraisal costs capitalised in respect of its exploration and evaluation assets, which are carried at historical cost. Those assets have been assessed for impairment and in particular with regard to remaining licence terms, likelihood of licence renewal, likelihood of further expenditures and on-going appraisals for each year. The directors are satisfied that there are no current indications of impairment, but recognise that the future realisation of these exploration and evaluation assets is dependent on future successful exploration and appraisal activities and the subsequent economic production of oil and gas reserves

do they really know what they are doing or they really knew what they were doing at the time ?
best not to place too much trust in figures released by the company.

San Leon Energy - SLE
today's challenge, if SLE produces gas from Rawicz by early 2016, that is by the end of April allowing a bit of slippage time, I will never ever post on this board again.
of course if they don't produce gas from Rawicz by early 2016 banjodean and tripe7 have to agree not to post here also.

there's the challenge time to put up or shut up.

San Leon Energy sells Polish assets as it continues to focus on Nigeria
Share
14:44 18 Nov 2016
Chairman Oisin Fanning said the Polish asset sale is a natural further step in focusing the company's financial and management resources on the new interests in Nigeria.

San Leon Energy sells Polish assets as it continues to focus on Nigeria
It will receive US$9mln in cash
San Leon Energy Plc (LON:SLE) has sold its Polish assets to its partner Palomar Natural Resources.

The sale comes as the company continues to focus on its recently acquired Nigerian business.

It sold the 35% interest in the assets, which primarily comprises the Rawicz gas field, for a cash consideration of US$9mln and the release of its liabilities to the assets - namely US$3mln of loans advanced by Palomar to cover costs of drilling and testing of two wells.

The company’s Poznan assets, 35% owned, are sold for a nominal fee and a royalty.

San Leon receives US$2.2mln upon closing, a further US$2.3mln is to follow before the end of this month and the remaining US$4.5mln by the end of October 2017.

Oisin Fanning, San Leon chief executive, said: “The sale of certain Polish assets is a natural further step in focusing the company's financial and management resources on the world-class OML 18 asset in Nigeria, as per the company's stated strategy.

“The sale price achieved is very similar to the carrying value of those assets in the latest audited financial statement, after the liabilities release is applied, and is considered by the board to be full and fair.

“It also reduces overheads costs through a downsizing of the Polish office, and no further licence fees or overheads on the assets sold."

guess a nominal fee sounds better than one euro.

RE: San Leon - Where is SLE heading..Today 11:32Sle through the placing paid the monies borrowed from tosca back hence sle are being paid the loan plus 17% interest on top.

Sle originally got $20 mill from palmar and this amount of $9million is a nice some as we haven't heard nothing from palomar regarding gas connection tie ups and the like, so sle has taken the cash no more investment plus have a tidy 10% npi

We have a great producing asset in oml 18 and cash flow will be quicker than rawicz!
