22/4/2022 13:01 | No apology needed | phillis
22/4/2022 11:32 | >> Phillis sorry if I am being thick but please explain what that has to do with RWS | toffeeman

22/4/2022 08:50 | Brode must agree It seems beyond belief - naive in the extreme - that they have not had the courtesy to approach Brode before leaking news | phillis
21/4/2022 22:03 | Brode still holds a very strong hand. To force through a contested bid needs at least 75% and to mop up the whole lot requires over 90%. He is still in control. | jeffian
21/4/2022 16:13 | GL Devon Made only 11p per shs profit here. I came in late, about 420 squids profit after commission. | firestorm911
21/4/2022 16:01 | Looks like a very opportunistic move to me. The Brode style is to acquire and shake down the new acquisition to make it function more efficiently. Sometimes this takes a little bit longer as is the case with SDL. The market has trashed the share price to the point where it is attracting vultures. Brode needs to get his shotgun out of the cabinet! | ygor705
21/4/2022 15:47 | Tarrant , anyone can preserve their IHT exempt status on a takeover if they reinvest the cash in another BPR holding. The 2 yr clock does not restart as long as the reinvestment is done in a timely fashion ; cannot recall the exact phrase. Mistake is to die holding the cash intending to invest. | wad collector
21/4/2022 15:40 | The price is meandering around 415p now; does not look like the market views 650 as a realistic prospect. | wad collector
21/4/2022 14:11 | I too have been a shareholder for over a decade and in all that time I don't recall the business ever being so undervalued. I'm not in the least bit surprised that private equity are sniffing around. In a February research note [post 1253] Berenberg had a price target of 810p, whilst the consensus price target is 622p according to SharePad. I will be very disappointed if RWS is acquired. | robinnicolson
21/4/2022 14:06 | according to website he only owns 23%? | babbler
21/4/2022 12:55 | Mixed feelings here. Have held for more than decade and have a large holding ( for me anyway). Even at today’s much depressed share price it’s very profitable. Unfortunately the biggest part of my holding isn’t in my ISA so there’s a large cgt bill in prospect. Anything around 6.50 would be acceptable though in today’s market. | alter ego
21/4/2022 12:45 | Only for the trade but yes, I think they will need to pay £6.50 at a minimum and they are probably fully aware of that. Sitting duck though, needs to be taken over. | devonlad
21/4/2022 12:33 | You are here, Devon? | firestorm911
21/4/2022 12:24 | However, the value to Mr Brodie's family from an inheritance tax viewpoint is significantly better in shares in RWS than in cash. I suspect however that he and other major long term shareholders will have been severely depressed by the share price movement in the last few months and may therefore not be totally averse to an offer that more fairly values the company. | tarrant77
21/4/2022 12:21 | £6.50 would make me a small profit! Brode needs an exit which will protect IHT which AIM confers | toffeeman
21/4/2022 12:12 | £6.50 | devonlad
21/4/2022 12:08 | Brode owns around 40% and is in his eighties.A takeover might give him a good exit. | brain smiley
21/4/2022 11:40 | Possible Bid form Baring. | martinthebrave
09/4/2022 13:15 | Anyone on TECHINVEST, I am wanting to form a group of similar minded people to discuss its views etc and information. Click my name and send a message. | matthew palmer
24/3/2022 19:53 | Can't say that I am desperate to buy. As commented on there are a few geadwinds that should hold back the share price, and in these markets negatives crucify the price. | redartbmud
24/3/2022 19:33 | Anyone know what the forecast organic growth figure for 2022 and 2023 is ? From an earlier RWS results statement the IP business is said to represent 16% of the group. | brain smiley |
