14/11/2007 07:13 | Rubis Q3 sales growth accelerates to 26 pct thanks to acquisitions PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French oil and gas storage and distribution group Rubis said sales growth accelerated to 26 pct in the third quarter, lifted by acquisitions in its Rubis Energie division. Group sales for the period jumped to 211.6 mln eur, taking revenues for the nine months to September to 591.1 mln, a 10 pct improvement. In the Rubis Energie business, sales rose 37 pct to 173.7 mln eur in the third quarter from a year ago, while like for like volumes were steady, but the commercial margin continued to progress at a good rhythm, like in the first half. In Rubis Terminal, third quarter revenues fell 9 pct to 37.9 mln eur although like-for-like volumes rose 8 pct, the company said. The division's revenues for the first nine months of the year are down 20 pct, it said. Andrew.Newby@Thomson an/hjp | waldron
08/8/2007 07:11 | Rubis H1 sales up 3 pct; sees good prospects and trends for H2 PARIS (Thomson Financial) - French oil and gas distribution and storage group Rubis said sales rose 3 pct to 379.4 mln eur in the first half from 368.5 mln a year earlier, as sales volumes grew 8 pct. The first half suffered the "full impact" of a historically mild winter in Europe, presaging "good prospects and trends" for the second half, the company said. In France, LPG sales volumes slumped 13 pct to 57,000 tonnes as a result of the mild winter. Turnover at the Rubis Terminal business slumped 24 pct, weighed down by a 38 pct plunge in sales in the petroleum products trading business. This business, which usually makes only a marginal contribution to the company's earnings, was pressured by lower sales volumes of heating oil and a strategic refocusing, the company said. In the Caribbean, LPG and petroleum product sales volumes soared 25 pct and 22 pct, respectively, Rubis said. Andrew.Newby@Thomson an/jag | waldron
