"impact – We have cut of 2013F EPS from 7.54p/share to 4.91p/share which means that the dividend based on our previous 6.2p/share forecast is not covered. RSA has flagged that it will need to consider the dividend in light of this announcement which we take to mean the 2013 final dividend will almost certainly be cut. We have consequently lowered our 2013F dividend from 6.2p/share to 4.34p/share.

Investment view – We have lowered our target price to 90p/share (from 98p/share previously) to reflect the cut in earnings and dividend."

Bigger volume after expected news (bigger losses in Ireland and loser being kicked out) suggests someone stakebuilding on over reaction. Expect some interesting holdings RNS. Imo

bought my first RSA batch today...more if sanks is right, again for 3-5yrs will still be in profit...long-term patience does work.
I don't buy today for profit the next day....so any1 with that strategy DYOR...

Weather...well last few years has been full of US hurricanes, extreme European weather, tsunamis etc etc we know about global warming don't we?
Anyway my strategy has always been be buy when every1 fear full...so will do that and buy in batches as I don't know the bottom, but in 3-5yrs hopeful will be in good profit.

Crash from 130p to 110p - justified, with knew knowledge Ireland messed up!

Then range 100-110p.

Now nothing really new, just CEO leaving who joined Nov11, he has hardly been there - so what!

Hopefully new CEO soon new direction strategy and better management and improved running of business and in 3-5yrs totally re-rated. Like LGEN at 80p few years ago...anyway investing is for 3-5yrs + div on the way. It will NOT rocket up tomorrow but a share to buy in new, and buy in batches as who knows where that bottom is hiding....good luck

Nor how long this problem has gone on for .... 200 million is not something that sounds like an accounting loss from the last year ... so the previous auditors have likely screwed up ...

FTSE 100 eviction I'm guessing is on the cards here ... sh*t happens .. especially when monty gets bullish!

Such a good brand ruined once again by overpaid and completely incompetent management, who just walk away as millionaires. Going to keep a close eye on RSA developments hoping it does become a decent buy. But before then we need much more info and a discount to whatever the NAV now is.

Nope - he was way out. It has now gone down to 80p.
