No smoke without fire, this was a much stronger rise than in previous times, always seems like a good idea to have sold into now but you just never know and I keep seeing the rises in line with the oil price and think I may have forgotten its true worth in a strong oil market. Time will tell

Comment re Share Price Movement

Rose Petroleum plc, the AIM-listed (AIM: ROSE) natural resources company, notes the significant rise in its share price since Monday. The Company continues to investigate various opportunities across different sectors and geographies to provide additional projects alongside its existing hydrocarbon and metals activities and the funding of those, as well as reviewing its current asset base, but no negotiations have been concluded at this time. There can be no guarantee that any of these matters will proceed and further announcements will be made as necessary. The Company also notes the recent increase in crude oil prices, but otherwise is unaware of any reason for its recent share price movement.

I would imagine if this turns again and hits 0.30 and they have no news to report. Then the company will have to come out with a "We see no reasons blar blarr" RNS.

For those still undecided on what to do about this rise. I've been in this share since it's first year as VANE MINERALS. I've seen plenty of downs and not enough ups but the ups I've seen have never been this strong. I always look at spikes and discount 50% to decide if it's worth selling and buying back in lower. I've done that many times and that's why my holding now cost me 0.10p.

From here I'm hold for the pound so no more trading for me. It won't be the end of the world if it goes back to 0.13p as far as I'm concerned.

At the moment the news is the share price rise. And with a share price so depressed that's drawing in the buyers. Sentiment can turn on a sixpence.

Patio58, if they were considering a funding call the share price would be heading in the other direction, I've seen that so many times before.

Also as far as I'm concerned if the news is about buying more projects I'll sell because they have already shown they can't keep their hands in their pockets and more importantly can't predict their expenditure well enough. It's time to deliver value to long term holders like myself and that means sitting tight and building profit on top of profit. So that's the reason why I don't think any news that does come will be about buying into anything.

This was due an adjustment and as soon as those on the "pre-market hotline" get good news they were always going to spread it to their clients. What we need to know now is a) has the adjustment been over done? hardly as the fair value is about 12p. and b) will the news, when it does come, be good enough to push it further? can't answer that but I'm not selling.

I'm out, this is 600% up on the last couple of months. We will still need funding if we are to proceed on our assets so dilution may happen on this spike. Good luck to current holders.
