Isn't there usually a annual trading statement out at the end of July? Hopefully some news in that...

I won't be taking any action prior to a resolution of the bid situation.I just find it amazing that this has dragged on for so long-after all, this company is a minnow....can't be that difficult to conduct the necessary due diligence in a timely manner.Maybe we should offer our services!

I contacted the broker to pass on to the company (which they have done) that we need some sort of statement to ensure there does not exist a 'false' market in the shares....we will see if it has any impact.

However, lets not lose sight of the fundamentals which still look good..

I think the bidders need to make their mind up one way or the other. The market for recovery smallcaps is strengthening of late.Snooze you lose, and all that.

I think the profile of the board members of the target company and the directorate changes give some possible clues here.As I've said before-hope the price is full and fair if the bid proceeds.DYOR

no it is basically an off the shelf company, the only director mentioned works for the corporate service provider........smoke and mirrors..

I paid for the accounts on the acqn vehicle, complete brick wall, no information, just a recently set up shell company...

If the management are involved at all, we should have that disclosed??

If the company read this, it would help all holders to get some kind of holding statement as to the progress of bid/any indicated price???

chrisdgb,
I think the board were pushed into making a premature announcement because the share price started motoring up.The evidence strongly suggests the offer will be pitched above the recent transaction in the 24% holding and any formal bid within the next several months has to be above the best price paid post-announcement.As I said earlier,(in addition to your above observations)there are hidden gems here which the bidder is doubtless aware of and I hope they are reflected in the offer price,if it materialises.

I have a reasonable experience with takeovers but my take is that it is crucial for the prospective bidder to have some form of material interest and not just 'flying kites'.

Because this bidder now has nearly 25% already I think the cash bid will happen but the uncertainty remains the price.

Remember Collins Stewart are forecasting net cash of £3.3m at y/e....

Market cap still just below £3m.....

Yes-that's the reason I ask whether it will be allowed to go too cheaply. The debtor balance is fully provided for, there's potential utilisation of huge past losses, cash in the bank equal to market cap.Bidder could secure the business for a steal price.DYOR

Like watching paint dry here.As the oppostion frequently say in PM's question time...will the bidder answer the question-in this case-bid or no bid?

So will this be taken out at a silly price? There's masses of potential. With cash equal to the current market cap,and strong order book the acquirer would get a bargain.DYOR
