Hi, I’m brand new to this site but interested as was a Ridge investor.
I held just over a million shares in Ridgecrest and it’s still showing in my IG account.
Have I lost them totally or is there a way to switch holding to their current exchange ?

Appreciate any good advice.

Thanks.

Andy

That's true starpukka, but the biggest problem is the way people slavishly follow irresponsible (and there's a far more appropriate word) *investors* like John Mahtani and then display astonishing confirmation bias when pie in the sky numbers are challenged. I am/was a holder and was relatively vocal for a time on the LSE board but was attacked relentlessly for simply having the temerity to ask why it should be expected to re-list at £2 when the TO target hadn't even been identified

New FCA guidance is a welcome step forward for UK SPACs- August 17, 2021

The rules for SPACs are changing – a move that could breathe fresh life into the London market.

New regulation that came into force last week provides extra flexibility for large Special Purpose Acquisition Companies while offering greater protection for investors.

The changes relate to the thorny issue of automated trading suspensions. SPACs that raise at least £100m at IPO will no longer have their shares suspended once an acquisition target is announced provided that they meet a number of criteria promoting investor protection.

This addresses the quandary of investors being locked in at the most pivotal stage of a SPAC’s lifecycle, unable to access their capital and exit their position until a prospectus has been published, and brings the LSE into line with other major exchanges.

Under the new regime, to avoid share suspension, SPACs are to provide investors with a ‘redemption’ option so they can exit before an acquisition is completed. They must also, among other measures, ensure money raised from public shareholders is ringfenced and that shareholder approval is sought for any proposed acquisition.....

Romania’s Blue Air eyes London, Bucharest market listings
09.07.2021 - 00:10 UTC -CH-Aviation
Oana Petrescu, chief executive of Blue Air (Romania) (0B, Bucharest Otopeni), has confirmed plans revealed this week to list on the London Stock Exchange though a reverse takeover, telling Ziarul Financiar and Economica.net that the listing will take place at the beginning of 2022 and that the carrier we will return to profit in the same year.

Ridgecrest, a British cash shell company, announced on July 6 that it had signed a non-binding letter of intent with Cristian Rada, to buy his company Airline Invest and its subsidiaries Blue Air Aviation and Blue Air Technic. Following a share issue to Rada, Ridgecrest’s name would change to Blue Air Group plc.

It is an opportunity to be listed in London faster than going through the lengthy conventional listing process.

“The listing will take place at the start of next year. So we have six months to solve all the conditionalities and the due-diligence process and to attract some pre-IPO funds,” Petrescu told Economica.net.

At the end of 2022, Blue Air will also enter the Bucharest Stock Exchange by issuing bonds, she added.

“Due to the pandemic, the level of flight demand, at least from January to May, was very low, it was less than 20% of the level in 2019, so we want to consolidate before and after the bond issue,” she said. “In 2021 we’ve managed to stabilise things, and in 2022 we will return to profit.”

Asked if investors have an appetite for airlines, Petrescu answered in the affirmative adding that she was sure the low-cost segment would recover faster than for full-service carriers.

“Yes, we see great interest, it is one of the sectors that has been hardest hit by the pandemic but it will recover the fastest. We believe that low-costs in particular will recover very quickly, because they are not based on corporate traffic but on people who work and go on holiday. This type of tourism will increase very quickly, we see it already this summer,” she said.

There's just not enough information at this time to work out the likely future share price All we know is Rada is getting 95% of current share capital which doesn't actually equate to 95% of future share capital. I do however get the feeling they'll be many investors wish they'd have bought in or more as I believe current Ridgecrest shareholders will be handsomely rewarded.

Luck or actually in the know?

Who knows if the "Market Cop" is actually in the know or not, to be fair he actually correctly predicted the RNS the other day the day before it came out, obviously his credibility will be shot very quickly if the claims below do not come to fruition!

Such crazy forward valuations, ohh my!...Very likely this will be sold off tomorrow unless the JMs 'Pump & Dump' has a little more 'Thrust' to entice the unconscious investors!

The company gets liquidated and cash returned to investors. You think the directors divvy it up between them? No chance.

You tell me buddy because I have no bloody idea what they're trying to do here except continue to keep investors guessing!
