It might have a teeny weeny bit to do with the fact that results are due and that after severe cost cutting,REX are due some very good numbers. Shares have risen in anticipation.

I see Investors Inteligence were backing REXHAM REX today and friday.....

Rexam - Broke out of the 330p resistance lately, signalling that a new upleg has begun. Also, watch for a relative upside breakout. We buy some now and more on a setback.

I am not sure the can market did shrink ; it was the profits that shrank.

Im with the pidgeon on this...These are overvalued and havent really been hit with the correction...But I feel that will change pretty soon...

last july they said this -

but it is still £2bn nearly a year later

all very well, but the shares have delivered returns of over 70% since the rights issue while net debt has only fallen by £100m to £2bn since 30/6/09. thats in spite of the £350m rights issue. so it all seems to be based on hope

debts are still on the rise, back to £2bn, and outlook remains very uncertain. still got problems in russia and closures and all important north american volumes down 1%. hardly imspiring

all brokers are saying BUY, but its interesting that none have the courage to say STRONG BUY. i sticking my neck out and betting these are going down.
