Does anyone know how the increased cost of corporate debt is going to effect the takeover of rtr by thompson?

Am looking at this as an almost guaranteed 10% - but why is it stuck at 620 pence when the FTSE100 has already risen from it's low.

v0 - the cash element is not 650p but at best 352p + 12p dividend, ie 364p
the rest is in Thomson shares at the rate of .16 per share which is the risk element
it is certainly not yet the done thing and the market reflects it
Goldman Sachs have just reduced their holding to below 3% - jarbie

I disagree, its not a done deal till its done. It could still fall through.

Considering it's a well and truly 'done deal' at over 690p a share I am amazed that more people are not seeing the profit to be had in this company. Presently it is 623p -which means a good 10% profit is available.

Eventually, if all the regulatory hurdles are cleared, it will.

not to forget nearly 650p in cash. Price should at least move to that level.

quite a muted response .. I was expecting shares to open at 650 and trade upwards .. there is nearly 60p difference between price now and price of bid. that is roughly 10%. There there so much risk to the deal happening?
