Another new pub in Shropshire to add to the list

“The Mytton and Mermaid in Atcham, near Shrewsbury, has been taken over by Brunning and Price - the hospitality firm which owns The Armoury in Shrewsbury and The Woodbridge in Ironbridge.

A planning application has been submitted to Shropshire Council to carry out a range of works including a revamp of the pub, a new walled garden area, three electric car charging stations, and a re-designed car parking area. It is currently pending consideration.

The firm also wants to remove the existing entranceway for a new glazed opening and install new staff rooms.“

Expecting an announcement, bucking todays market trend, look at the daily volume, 13.6 million, compared to an average of 2.7!, GLA

From The Mail

'Notably, Restaurant Group, which had previously updated only a few weeks ago, said that it now expected inflation of 9-10% this year, almost double the 5% that it was targeting back on 16 March. SSP has said it expects inflation to 'step up' through the second half and into next year.'

Good trading update today. Subdued reaction by the market but I would expect this to change over the next few months as the encouraging news sinks in and predict 60p+ per share by interims in September.

John 09 there is a good chance this will retest 20p. There is simply nothing going for it at the moment. The only way to make any money is to sell IMO.

Upstart is a scam porsche. you better steer clear of that and most other USA stocks. They are in bubble territory compared to UK stocks!

Check out Upstart on the Nasdaq. I’d been waiting to get into it as it had gone ballistic but managed to pick it up with tech malaise over last months at the right price. Amazing tech, all banks and insurers will use it, are using it, throwing off tons of cash and already buying back its own shares, buy some and forget them for a year, will double or better. Buy growth and stuff that has little or no debt, the problem is with all this U.K. stuff it’s riddled with debt, you look at holdings like Vod, it’s share value is less than its huge debt pile, it cant ever do any good, and won’t, they borrow money to pay a dividend ffs, not sure PI’s realise the problems with debt ridden companies, there is no capital appreciation.

Mash, market now looks to be pricing is a pronounced growth slowdown,
how that impacts RTN we will see, but discretionary spending easier to cut
than other outgoings. As mentioned the rating arguably allowed for little downside
and already discounted recovery.
