07/10/2021 10:47 | I had my first top up yesterday since adding at £3.90 in the covid march 2020 crash. I guess the point i am making is this is still good value IMO! | rimau1
07/10/2021 07:41 | Agreed Rivaldo. I have Sept 21 EPS at 51p and a PE of 14.3 so not far off. IMO we need to get through this energy/Brexit storm for things to settle a bit. UK focused stocks are a bit of a worry at the moment. I'm more sanguine about stocks with an oversea/$ mix. | johnrxx99
06/10/2021 18:59 | I wonder if Renew are bidding here? - NMCN had frameworks with Yorkshire and South Staffs Water as well Highways & Telecoms divisions. "The sale of nmcn following its fall into administration is expected to be concluded within 48 hours saving the jobs of the “vast majority” of the contractor’s 1,700 employees. The Enquirer has seen an update sent to staff by CEO Lee Marks on Tuesday. It states that the sale of the Infrastructure, Plant Transport & Accommodation, Telecoms and Water divisions is expected to complete in the next day or two." | tanneg
06/10/2021 14:06 | Indeed, just normal profit-taking in a rather uncertain market having risen so sharply. ADVFN's figures are as so often completely incorrect. The current range of forecasts are from from around 50p-54p EPS for the current year, which I suspect may be increased once the figures to 30/9 are released. IMO a current year P/E of 13.7 at the higher end is pretty good value given the security of and necessity for RNWH's work flows, the growth potential in so many must-have sectors like water, nuclear, 5G, electric charging, rail etc, and the likelihood of more earnings-enhancing acquisitions. | rivaldo
06/10/2021 13:09 | General market worries on inflation leading higher building costs and interest charges togther with labour shortages and supply line disruption caused by Brexit? Still seems to be a safer haven than most. | wfcreserves
06/10/2021 11:21 | Does anyone have an opinion on why this is falling back? Did it get a bit ahead of itself? Or is it just following the market? The PE of 27.3 in the box above seems way out, but that's normal here in advfn-land - should be more like 11 or 12? | zangdook
06/10/2021 10:54 | Nice bit of work. | igoe104
04/10/2021 07:36 | Encouraging comment in VP PLC's trading update today, with the areas relevant to RNWH looking very good and expected to accelerate from 30th September: "Certain areas of major infrastructure investment such as HS2 have been very busy for the Group, with other key elements, such as the rail sector (CP6) and water (AMP7) expected to accelerate in H2." | rivaldo
01/10/2021 07:14 | Good to see a heavyweight player in Peel Hunt appointed as joint broker - they'll bring additional heft to attracting institutional investment interest here: | rivaldo

30/9/2021 10:07 | RNWH's QTS have just begun work on a new £8m anti-flooding project for Network Rail in Dumfries, Scotland. And QTS are in prime position for £149m of such works in the current period: "From 2014 and 2019, more than £120m was invested in earthworks, drainage and bridge strengthening projects in Scotland and from 2019 to 2024 more than £149m will be spent." | rivaldo
29/9/2021 16:29 | Totally agree, the only mess up was buying that loss making gas company, which they quickly got rid of.. | igoe104

28/9/2021 07:32 | Great news - thanks for posting. That must sort out Carnell for the next few years. | harrogate
28/9/2021 07:21 | Terrific news - RNWH's Carnell subsidiary have won the maximum 5 lots on the new National Highways framework over the next 6 years, 3 of them in a JV with RNWH's other subsidiary AmcoGiffen. This is worth a very nice £147m. And these are "the longest duration, highest value contracts in Carnell’s history. Coupled with the move into road restraints, this provides a fantastic, solid foundation on which to grow and develop our business further in the coming years.” "National Highways SDF Success We are delighted to announce that National Highways (formerly Highways England) have awarded us five Lots on the new Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF). The total value of the contracts will be £147m over 6 years, with the new delivery model commencing in January 2022. The five Lots are the maximum number that could be awarded under the restricted procurement rules that National Highways have applied to the new framework. Three of which are in a Joint Venture (JV) with our Renew sister company AmcoGiffen. Contracts Awarded Civil Engineering: Central Super Region – Areas 6, 7, 8 and 9. Drainage: North East Region – Areas 12 and 14. Road Restraints: Central Super Region – Areas 6, 7, 8 and 9 in a JV with AmcoGiffen. Road Restraints: North West Region – Areas 10 & 13 in a JV with AmcoGiffen. Road Restraints: North East Region – Areas 12 & 14 in a JV with AmcoGiffen. SDF will replace the current Construction Works Frameworks (CWFs) and ASC/PAD contracts. The phased introduction means that our current Civil Engineering, Drainage and Road Lighting & Electrical CWF contracts continue in Area 10 until 2023 and Area 6&8 until 2024. A strong outlook Delivering these new framework contracts as a Tier One supplier to National Highways, builds a robust forward programme through to 2027/28. The move into road restraint work alongside AmcoGiffen diversifies our portfolio of work and provides further opportunities. Andrew Sharp, Carnell Deputy Managing Director commented: “We have built a strong reputation on safely delivering drainage and civils schemes on the strategic road network over the last three decades. I am thrilled to have secured these SDF contracts, which will see us further develop our collaboration with National Highways and fellow delivery partners. These frameworks represent the longest duration, highest value contracts in Carnell’s history. Coupled with the move into road restraints, this provides a fantastic, solid foundation on which to grow and develop our business further in the coming years.” | rivaldo
27/9/2021 17:44 | After seeing in person the damage in Dawlish and noting the speed and efficiency with which it was repaired I bought a stake in Renew. It has performed admirably since. It seems to have come off its peak recently but I am waiting to top up my holding. | irenekent
26/9/2021 07:35 | RNWH gets a brief tip/mention in today's Mail on Sunday, in an article about AIM and which companies to buy: "Lee Wild, head of equity strategy at wealth platform Interactive Investor, also likes.....engineerin Wild adds: 'All three have been brilliant in terms of share price performance, but they also pay dividends to shareholders.'" | rivaldo
22/9/2021 14:19 | I seem to remember that repairing the Dawlish Sea Wall started the ball rolling for Renew rejuvenation. Are they still involved? The latest on Phase 2 of the repairs is on Youtube for those interested : | wfcreserves

08/9/2021 07:03 | Very positive commentary from Peel Hunt in the Yorkshire Post: "Analyst Andrew Nussey at Peel Hunt said: “Following the better than expected interim results, Renew has continued to deliver a strong trading performance. “Activity levels remain high, supported by the strategic differentiation through self delivered, essential multi-disciplinary services to key infrastructure assets. “Moreover, the operational focus and improving quality and mix of earnings has supported an increase to our margin expectations. “We note that the integration of the two cash financed acquisitions in the period, Browne and REL (for a combined price of £32.5m), are proceeding to plan and trading in line with management’s expectations.” | rivaldo
07/9/2021 08:38 | I sold quite a few around 770. Thought reaching the initial broker target would mean it’d come off a little which it did but unfortunately for me I never topped back up. Still great news for my remaining holding and well done to all the long termers here. | dr biotech
07/9/2021 08:30 | Wow , glad I only sold a few in last yr! | wad collector |
