09/12/2009 23:22 | 5:38 pm, December 8, 2009 Regus opens biggest UK campus in Manchester Serviced office operator Regus, is launching its largest campus office in the UK at Peter House in Manchester. The firm claims it has seen a 266 per cent increase in demand in the last year due to small businesses wanting more flexible space. The new Manchester campus will house space for up to 35 small businesses. Mark Dixon, chief executive of Regus, said: "Regus' workspace solutions aim to deliver an increased level of flexibility to the workforce and help employers meet this demand. It's encouraging to see such strong entrepreneurial drive in Manchester." What a company this is. | tricky1992000
01/12/2009 18:10 | Demand for flexi-space is growing as recession sparks fresh thinking Tuesday, 1 December 2009 Enquiries about flexible office space in Belfast have almost doubled in the last three months, according to an office space provider. Regus said the 85% increase - well above the average UK increase of 14% - was due to a need among small businesses to take advantage of the flexibility and affordability of virtual and campus offices. The company released the results of a survey on workplace culture, which |revealed a strong entrepreneurial spirit in Belfast. Around half of employees said they would like to set up their own business - but many said high start-up costs were the reason they had not taken the plunge. Around 40% of those questioned said they would set up their own business if they lost their job. Regus said it would hold its next 'business booster' event in Belfast to give enterprises in the area access to local experts and the tools to grow in the difficult economic environment. Michael Osbourne, Northern Ireland representative of the Federation of Small Businesses, said: "The recession has shaken up the way we all do business. More people than ever are looking to start up their own enterprises. "It is hugely encouraging to see an 85% increase in office enquiries across Belfast, showing the city is embracing entrepreneurial spirit. This business booster will provide invaluable support and advice to these newly formed enterprises giving them the information and support they need to prosper." story here..... | tricky1992000

17/9/2009 18:39 | sold out c.106p may regret it but hoping other investments may still double where as regus has already bounced big time | its the oxman
17/9/2009 18:22 | The shares were primarily sold to increase the liquidity of the stock. "The founder and chief executive of Regus (0.6p off at 106.5p) trousered a cool £36.4m after selling 35m shares, or 10%, of his shareholding in the serviced office provider at 104p a share. He still owns a controlling 33.7% stake worth £332m. Dixon's sale comes after a strong run in the share price - it has risen 78% from its July low to a two-year high - and the disposal has apparently been done in order to increase liquidity in the stock." | purplebox
