A large number of stever46 posts have now been deleted from the product recall thread. I assume that this is because they were at best incorrect and in the worst case misinformation. Its good that they have been removed but the company have the original posts which were in the public domain on this website from the date they were posted up until last weekend. Anyone reading those posts would have been mislead into thinking that there is a problem with Cillit Bang and may have been influenced into selling shares, thus damaging the share price.

The Avoint - I think so. If stever46 truly was a former IT Director of the company as he claimed in one of his posts he will know that ADVFN will have back up copies of every post on these BBs should Reckitt Benkiser decide to take action and request them as evidence.

It would appear that some false information has been posted about Cillit Bang being withdrawn on the Reckitt / Possible Product Recall thread. I took the precaution of taking a copy of all of the posts on that thread over the weekend and they are being sent to Reckitt Benkiser today.

"Analysts have said CSD500 should enable Durex, the world's leading condom brand, to win further market share."

CK - both companies should benefit greatly which ever way it plays out. RB are keeping their powder dry for the launch of the new condom to get maximum impact though there has been plenty of speculative media coverage to date. This will undoubtedly been the market leading condom imho.

I'm of the opinion the white elephant in the room means Reckitt Benckiser will buy the 'viagra condom' CSD500 rights from Futura before they see any royalties!

The sooner the CSD500 hits the streets the better...less hoody kids!

stever - some background on the 'viagra' condom production plant in India before SSL was acquired by RB.

10 November 2009
Update on CSD500
Futura Medical plc (AIM: FUM), the pharmaceutical group that develops innovative products for consumer healthcare, announces an update on progress towards the marketing authorisation of its lead product, CSD500, which is scheduled to be launched as a Durex®-branded condom by SSL International plc (SSL).
The generation of additional manufacturing validation data required to complete the CE Mark approval process continues as planned. During this validation work, a number of potential improvements to the manufacturing process have been identified and are currently under evaluation at SSL's condom manufacturing plant in India, where CSD500 will be produced. As well as simplifying the manufacturing process, the proposed changes have the potential to improve product yields and commercial attractiveness. Data is still being collected by a joint development team from SSL and Futura to assess the benefits of the proposed changes.
Given this new information Futura expects SSL to file the additional data for CE Mark approval early in the first quarter of 2010. The regulatory timetable for CE Mark approval is expected to take between 45 and 90 days from submission. Subject to timely CE Mark approval, CSD500 remains on course to be launched later in 2010.
