18/12/2006 23:26 | Ebay has bought a 49% stake in a Chinese online competitor, in a change of strategy.... see | sikhthetech
18/12/2006 23:12 | Smoke, no....but agree should be a good omen... It was very difficult getting prices and information today....graphs, prices were all screwed up and a bit difficult to read.... Anyway, should settle down....the announcement of a new chief would also help.. Vols were very good today... Good Luck | sikhthetech
18/12/2006 23:07 | Did anyone notice the late £79k buy at 679p that went through at 5.10pm? Hopefully a good omen for tomorrow. | smoketoomuch
18/12/2006 21:39 | yep, a very weird day....down 95% but actually up on the day.... It frustrates me when investors who hold shares within a company can't be bothered to keep up with major events....It was well announced that there will be a 20-1 split, yet so many appear with 'what's happening'....then soon disappear for several months/years....If you are going to have shares in a company, then show some interest and join the bb debate, you are welcome - all views...don't suddenly appear expecting those who spend hours analysing to do the work for you....thanks.. On the point of not being able to trade. I heard the same from several friends from work as well....My simple answer is if you want a cheap and cheerful broker then this is the downside...it's cheap and cheerful... Good Luck | sikhthetech
18/12/2006 19:46 | smoke,,, a good days trading and ,, we know the next target is £ 8 ,,, the speed it went to £6.93 was incredible,, and there eas good buying.. Once Independent chairman is annouced,, the price could easily hit £8 .Since tracker funds will be allowed to buy into qxl,, although they are too late ,,, mm's are short of shares so will have to push the price up. | twiga
18/12/2006 19:19 | Yep, it was a bit of a weird day. Nearly hit our 700p target - at lunchtime when the bid price was 693p I thought it would be a dead cert. Oh well, maybe tomorrow or later this week. Will almost certainly be a hike when the new independent chairman is announced any day now (unless he's a complete dork of course). Even at 700p, our p/e is still only about 21 which imho, given the growth potential in eastern europe, is cheap. Ebay's is currently over double that at 44.... | smoketoomuch
18/12/2006 19:08 | I see qxl are closing down their french site now,, are they ever going to open up any new sites... ??? I wonder what will ever happen to uk site. | twiga

18/12/2006 14:05 | trt - do you mean 'think' or 'hope' we see many sells this afternoon...... on account of your goolies getting a good squeeze from luke?? Bound to be a dip on profit-taking this afternoon but the only way long-term is UP imho....... | smoketoomuch
18/12/2006 13:58 | I think we will see many sells as the afternoon and week goes by. The price has risen very sharply over the last month and folk will certainly want to lock in gains before the xmas break. | trt
18/12/2006 13:42 | Here here smokers... Great start to the day but can see it hitting above £7+ by the close of play. Lots of buys happening...let the good times roll...as always good luck to all holders...!!! | jwoolley

18/12/2006 13:12 | I've just consulted my Halifax share account online and my QXL shares don't appear there any more. Having rang them they're telling me that they won't appear until the 22nd and I can't sell until then. I'm not saying I want to sell just now but having held these for over five years they are approaching the level where I'm thinking about cashing in. Anybody else aware that these cannot be sold until the 22nd? | maxj
