08/10/2018 08:52 | Foxtons closing down their Park Lane flagship shop....sign of the times. However, I think this is more because of the heavy falls in central london property prices, and the way the government are trying to deter foreign investors | sb888

05/10/2018 09:24 | Rog I am giving impartial independent advice, it is always easier to see things when you don't have skin in the game. I think it is important others don't buy on the back of your blind optimism, which has never been substantiated by hard numbers. You seem to ignore both the market and the real problems being reported about this company. | ltcm1
04/10/2018 18:10 | bbm, Yes I agree, their adverts were saying they didn't charge commission, but failed to mention they charge fees! | andy

04/10/2018 17:15 | So just short it. If it's bad you don't need to be here 24/7 telling everyone. Just short it and shut up. All these aliases saying the same message, makes me smell a rat. | rogthepodge
04/10/2018 16:35 | Rog - the first cut is the easiest mate. I said this at 270. Don't just hang on hoping for something better because this sucker's going down!!! | ltcm1

04/10/2018 15:21 | @ bbmsionlypostafter 3 Oct '18 - 09:46 - 6152 of 6166 I've looked at correlation between house prices and transaction volumes. It appears that this is positive in markets where the housing market has 'depth'. This means markets where transactions are pretty frequent anyway, and there is a culture of home ownership. The markets which PURP has tried to penetrate all have depth (eg. ignore Germany), and the business model depends on volume, not price. So once house prices soften, volumes dry up. In the UK this is pretty standard knowledge, but it does appear to be universal. From experience, most companies with a growth plan consolidate in their home market before moving to the next one - consolidate, repeat. Another advantage of this is that you make your mistakes before moving on. Another thing - the timetable: AGM ............... 19 Oct Trading statement .. 6 Nov H1 results ........ 13 Dec Will they refuse to disclose current trading at the AGM on the grounds that they will make a statement a fortnight later? Most AGMs are a forum for discussing current trading! The only reason for investing here would seem to be blind faith, but the faithful appear to losing that, gradually. | jonwig
