"Nothing has changed".

I recall you said that on 17 Oct '87 after you loaded up all your clients with 'portfolio insurance', which ofcourse proved entirely useless when the market cratered.

No wonder you had to get the hell out of dodge after the crash!!!

Looking hot for PB. I'm also reading that PURP will be the goto property portal, ousting rightmove and or Zoopla as PB growth continues

Purplebricks is now the largest agent in the UK by listings on Rightmove, broker Zeus Capital has said.

The claim has been made by Zeus Capital research director Robin Savage.

Savage also said that Purplebricks’ growth has been “at the cost of its competitors who are not terribly happy”.

Elnocapital

when are you covering?

if you are given a get out of jail card, maybe you should consider using it

As some have pointed out, one risk to Purp is that traditional Estate Agents adapt their model to replicate Purple bricks.

Does anyone know how much success Bairstow Eves are having with their £995 DIY offering?

I have seen an advert on TV recently, for the first time. That might be because I have started paying attention to PURP, as I not that they seem to have been offering the service since about April (according to the upload of the TV advert to You Tube)

It struck me that the offer to try DIY, but then go full service in house if it did not work, and have the DIY fee offset against the traditional fee might be attractive to many.

Yep agree with you there in this one Tony. This is not a classic cyclical, value trap, fraud, or over indebted short. It is still at the opinion stage.

N.B. I don't think it likely the price can go sideways for much more than this week. It either has to break lower or higher. Neither move need be permanent, it could oscillate around a mean, but I think the amplitude of the swing will be greater. Even with the current volatility it is turning into a decent trading share for harvesting. Took profits again, and will look forward to what tomorrow brings.

Tony,

Exactly!

Rog,

I believe the cap is too high, so am short, seems fair enough to me!

You believe the opposite and are long, so you're a gambler too then!

I think it's fair to say most of us here are house hocking, granny pawning helpless gamblers .....But with varying degrees of luck.

you are really a gambler, and not an investor

Rog,

In simple terms, he's saying it could go up, down, or sideways!

I understand what he's saying but without the charts he is referring to in picture form, it doesn't make a lot of sense to the layman.

The share price seems poised on a knife edge, and can go either way from here.

what the hell are you talking about hpcg?

this is about as decipherable to your average investor, as your name

P.S. it's probably going up

Shorts don't move a price down - see Tesla amongst many others - it is longs selling and an absence of longs buying. The overwhelming majority of money in the market is long only, very little is short. IMO people pay to much attention to short positioning, which is essentially a set of one off move, and not enough to the short case. Whilst I am a keen short here I have to admit it isn't proven. I make the 200 about flat. Assuming we get a series of moving average crossovers and the 200 turning down, with price below, then price should be driven by longs protecting profits.

Gap up today, but a doji thus far, I'm back to 40% of my position for what I closed at this morning. Can still break out either way: there is a descending channel and pressure between the 50ma above and the 200ma below. The 100 is still rising, but meets the top of the channel tomorrow. Doji is over the top of the 20. Decision time soon when it hits the top of the channel, which in turn depends exactly on the slope one draws.

Id imagine shorts will pile in (assuming borrow available) when the 200mda goes.

400p is a real battleground. Very difficult to call the immediate direction.

"I think the Purplebricks share price could rise"

"It's a sell for me"
