04/3/2009 11:45 | That's the feature of a growth stock - the earnings growth. If these were making big earnings now the share price would be a lot higher. There has to be a fair chunk of faith but the earnings growth next year over this year is 250% forecast. I dare say today many like me were hoping for contract news as a carrot dangler but not a lot there. Guess they will appear in the coming weeks and months. A few taking profits because the got what they expected and no more imo. Bet your life if you sell the next day they'll announce a contract! CR | cockneyrebel
04/3/2009 09:50 | From Sharecast.... Purecircle serves up 73% profit increase Wed 04 Mar 2009 LONDON (SHARECAST) - Sweetener group PureCircle served up a 73% increase in interim pre-tax profit after good demand for its products and expects to make further progress going forward. The Malaysia based firm said that it had signed new multi-million dollar contracts with companies such as Pepsico and Whole Earth. Pre-tax profit rose to $2.04m in the six months ended 31 December 2008 from a proforma profit of $1.18m a year before. Revenue jumped 49% to $21.6m. Purecircle said it would not be recommending an interim dividend as it preserve cash. "This will be reviewed in the future in light of the group's progress and funding requirements." In Wednesday's statement the group said, "While the company is growing its business, the board deems working capital to be a priority." "Challenges remain but we look forward to reporting on further progress, " it said. | fast investor

04/3/2009 08:23 | erm yeah, real strength Fast Investor. Falling back now after MM opportunistic markup this morning. You seem desperate to ramp this all over the place this morning. There are clearly seller(s) around still & we need some real volume to clear them. Hopefully they will come in today off the back of the results, if not no probs because all seems on track & eventually the share price will follow. | darlocst
