18/3/2017 19:56 | hnj - not Pure Wafer - when I said it was on another BB I meant it concerned another company. Sorry if I wasn't clear. The company concerned is WJG. | alan@bj
18/3/2017 19:34 | Very strange as the last payment I received was in January 2017-it was indicated as a dividend payment in the account (online)-though strictly it is not a dividend. | meijiman
18/3/2017 19:00 | Thanks for the update alan@bj. Which dividend are you referring to that you received on February 28th? | hnj
18/3/2017 17:16 | Appreciate the update Alan | apatel21
18/3/2017 15:57 | I emailed the Liquidators a few days ago and got a reply yesterday afternoon, attaching a letter that was sent to all shareholders on March 3rd. My broker, TDDI, failed to pass it on to me and I imagine quite a few nominee account holders are in the same boat. The letter confirms that they still anticipate paying out a further 8p, but HMRC have made a claim with regard to certain imports and exports (Duty or VAT??). Discussions with HMRC are ongoing but the Liquidator can't make the final distribution until they have clearance from "all the relevant Crown bodies". So, the good news is that we are still likely to receive a further 8p per share, but the bad news is we don't know when, and we can't rely on our brokers to pass on information. On another topic, on another BB, a poster is complaining that Barclays still have not paid a dividend into his account that the rest of us received on February 28th. Anyone else have problems with Barclays? | alan@bj
13/3/2017 11:52 | Thanks for that. I've got some with selftrade and have so little reliance of them being on top of the situation here. | meijiman
13/3/2017 11:01 | Should be a further 8p or so. | cockerhoop
13/3/2017 10:56 | Are we all done on returns here? Can't recall if there is one outstanding still to come after finalisation of tax affairs. Must be old age. On a different tack is IQE a similar sort of company? It seems to have more moving parts but very difficult to fully understand its technology. | meijiman
17/1/2017 17:43 | I've got on the Liquidator's mailing list now, so I'll post on this thread whenever I receive any communication from them. | alan@bj
17/1/2017 16:09 | Finally received the latest 5p from second broker account. I doubt that anyone else should still be waiting. | puffintickler
16/1/2017 13:08 | Mikebart - if its related to CGT, theres a handy CGT calculator at hxxp://www.cgtcalcul | zimbtrader
16/1/2017 09:10 | You should take the percentage of payouts in 2015/6 (p/share paid divided by p/share expected to be paid in total, e.g. something like 163p/182p or 90%) and apply that to your total cost of purchases to calculate your cost of sale for that tax year. Subtract that from what you were paid (163p) and there is your gain. The remaining 10% (or so) should be used as the cost of sale for 2016/7. If there were to be any more returns in 2017/8 then this gain will be 100%. We can always hope! | puffintickler
15/1/2017 21:56 | Assuming the shares were not held in an ISA what would the personal tax liability be in the year APR15 to APR16 for the distributions that fell within that financial year? | mikejbart2

09/1/2017 14:27 | Ditto Selftrade. Nothing at iDealing yet. | papy02
09/1/2017 14:09 | HL dropped in the 5p today, fyi. | hutch_pod
04/1/2017 13:26 | We were expecting 13p, so there should be 8p to come - subject to HMRC approval and resolution of the issue with the former landlords the Liquidator mentioned in his last note. It is frustrating that we don't learn about these distributions promptly. | alan@bj
04/1/2017 11:26 | Nothing from Selftrade either......... | meijiman
04/1/2017 11:07 | Still nothing on either my Hargreaves Lansdowne or Equiniti accounts but I'm sure these will arrive soon enough. As a matter of curiosity, how much more do others think could be due before this is all wrapped up? I have a figure of 5p making a total value over the year or so of 185 which isn't too far adrift of puffinticklers 188p. Its merely curiosity. I came to the party pretty late at 166 - 167p buy-in.... ;-) | zimbtrader
04/1/2017 09:51 | What happened to the shareholder update that they were going to make at the time of this distribution? | flyfisher
04/1/2017 09:33 | Me too, more than doubled my initial investment so far. | alan@bj
04/1/2017 08:12 | One of my holdings has paid up 5p. It was one I bought just before the end, the idea was I would pay 180p at the end of 2015, get 163 back early 2016 and finally make a profit of 8p-ish on only 17p investment. A (fairly) guaranteed return of 50% in a year looked too good to miss. I am break-even there now so anything more is profit. I am rather better than break-even on the rest of my holding! | puffintickler
03/1/2017 16:48 | Reply received at 10:45 this morning stating:- "I can confirm that a fourth distribution was paid to the shareholders of the Company on 30th December 2016, in the sum of 5p per Ordinary share." I have now checked my TDDI account and confirm the payment has been credited to it today. | alan@bj |
