From today's Business Post: *Electricity system amber alert issued this morning*.
"A warning of a shortfall of power that could lead to blackouts has been made as unscheduled outages at two stations, low winds and the retirement of peat power stations threaten supply."

We've been sitting under a high pressure regime for two weeks now ( hxxps://www.met.ie/climate-statement-for-august-2021 ). When are the powers-that-be gonna wake up and realise that weeks of little to no winds are not unusual. We need 100% backup for all wind energy.

I see the UK is beginning to realise its vulnerability, situated at the tail end of Russian supply lines. Next winter may be a rude wake-up call. If the UK needs to worry then Ireland's situation is positively dire, being dependent on UK pipeline supplies. The Greens are selling us down the river, allowing gas fired plants to become decrepit even without the additional headache of supply interruptions. Our remaining coal will soon be switched off, leaving us one becalmed day away from rolling blackouts. And we are still barrelling down the road toward doubling our wind penetration by 2030. Utter madness.

herm, agreed and based upon the individuals now sat on the board and their associated networks, there is every reason to believe that the next 4 months could be the most pivotal in PVR’s recent history and the potential of Barryroe can finally make some meaningful progress for the first time in a number of years, hopefully the focus will remain on early stage production and with the market continuing to price the Barryroe partners and their operations as a basket case, it will certainly be an interesting market reaction to observe, if the narrative starts to develop a positive slant before the end of September,.. .. Next 4 months are vital for Providence. Luckily we now have a Board of Directors and an experienced CEO with decades of industry and corporate finance expertise. The many finance misfires here in the past are well documented and this is last chance saloon for Barryroe and raising the dough needed for a drilling campaign will be no walk in the park.

Bank of Ireland might take it on as they now own our house broker,Davy. Wee Joe Nally of Cenkos likely to be involved too as he is a wizard at bond issuing and has buckets of contacts with European and Asian private equity markets.

Didn't they say they were going to follow the SpotOn model, which presumably means issuing a bond. Pareto Bank were originally going to manage it, but who knows now.
