Posted at 10/4/2008 07:26 by cyberpost Proposed De-Listing from AIMRNS Number:0362S Prometheus Energy Co 10 April 2008 NOT FOR RELEASE, PUBLICATION OR DISTRIBUTION, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA OR JAPAN. Neither this announcement nor any copy of it may be taken, transmitted or distributed, directly or indirectly, in or into the United States, Canada, Australia, the Republic of Ireland, the Republic of South Africa or Japan. Any failure to comply with this restriction may constitute a violation of United States, Canadian, Australian, Republic of South Africa, Republic of Ireland or Japanese securities laws. Prometheus Energy Company ("Prometheus" or "the Company") Proposed De-Listing from AIM Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting London, April 10, 2008 - The Board of Prometheus Energy Company gives notice that an Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") of the Company will be held at the Company's offices, 9675 SE 36th Street, Mercer Island, Washington 98040 at 10.00 am on Friday, May 2, 2008. The EGM has been convened to approve the cancellation of the admission of the Company's shares to trading on AIM and amend the Company's Articles of Incorporation If shareholders approve the cancellation at the General Meeting the expected date for the proposed cancellation is 8.00am on 9 May 2008. Shareholders should note that cancellation is likely to reduce significantly the liquidity and marketability of the Company's Common Shares. Once cancellation has taken effect, the Company's Shareholders will no longer be able to effect transactions in the Company's Common Shares on market at the market price. Following cancellation, therefore, the Company's Shareholders will have to effect any further transactions in the Company's Common Shares off market at a price to be agreed between the relevant parties. Once the transaction is agreed, the relevant parties should contact the Company's Transfer Agent, Capita Trustees-Jersey, whose contact details can be found on the Company's website (www.prometheus-ener The Notice of the EGM has been posted to shareholders today, and the letter sent to shareholders by the Company's Chairman, Stanislas Yassukovich, is copied below. |
Posted at 21/2/2008 15:00 by rapier686 Personally I took a look shortly after float and decided bargepoles do not come long enough. Now normally decisions to avoid at 90p would need reconsidering in the context of 16p.But in this case the main reason for avoidance was the web of interrelated company deals in the listing prospectus which gave me no confidence that IF the commercial logic was sound that benefits would flow to shareholders. This sort of risk does not diminish with the price. Additionally we've got the 'fundraising' of 28 Aug 07 which amounts to rape, pillage and selling the children into slavery. And being apparently so strapped for cash that a £1500 wages bill on 21 Dec needed paying in shares. Clearly there may be aspects I've overlooked, I'm hardly going to devote a lot of effort to investigation with my opinion. But if you hold, I salute your indefatigability. |
Posted at 18/2/2008 08:40 by john hampton Having read about considerable value in generating powere from waste and the recent offers for Biffa & now Novera, it seems this one and afew others like Augean, Pennon & Shanks could do very well from here. Especially this one that's been beaten up quite badly. Article in the FT says PEC & AUG could shoot up in value if investors pile into the sector following recent takeover activity. Certainly on my watch list! |
Posted at 24/9/2006 09:07 by don muang r686... thanks for the info .... I'm still holding LNR .... hence my interest in PEC..... Let's see what the future brings .... ! |
Posted at 20/9/2006 20:08 by humbugg not expecting this to move much in the near future so happy to sit tight for the longer term. We have a bottom at about high 70s which is the placing price. cant see any reason for those to sell. positive news will bring a rise.stay chilled H. |
Posted at 20/9/2006 10:44 by don muang s55 .... agreed .... but market sentiment also plays an important part in which way things will go .... although all the talk is of climate change then on average most 'new energy' stocks are down overall recently .... although some can still take off with the right conditions .... was antipating LNR would show a reasonable increase if PEC was one of the one's that did shine at time of IPO.... still remain a holder of LNR for the time being |
Posted at 18/9/2006 19:29 by humbugg matty,Thats only one of co's they have a stake in. Very interesting. Yes, good day for PEC ;-)))) |
Posted at 18/9/2006 17:29 by mattyfromtheblock Just had a chance to look at CVS as have not had access to a comp over the weekend. Judging by the interims out today they look like they could be on there way to new year highs. Will look further as i have only skimmed through the numbers. Good day for PEC today! No word from the company though which is disappointing. Will try them again and see if they respond. Would be a bad thing if they were to have bad PR. |
Posted at 15/9/2006 15:55 by humbugg matty, been out all day, quite pleased with the week. would be nice to have some figures so we can make a more informed judgement. PEC might get some positive newsflow this weekend. Im off to Paris with the missus for a hot weekend.Take a look at CVS tell me what you think of its current valuation? keep pecking away ;-)). H. |
Posted at 14/9/2006 08:48 by mattyfromtheblock I was tempted, but then thought about my head when waking up for PEC so I decided against having a few. Good games last night though! I'm gonna say that the 40k was a buy from earlier that helped push the price up but was filled at the upper end of the price hence the 91p pricing. All very interesting stuff at the moment! |
