26/2/2002 14:56 | All buys today. Narrow spread as well. The signs are looking good for gains tomorrow. The company has a good position in the corporate sector and it is growing its market share. EPS should easily exceed 3.5p | 813061
26/2/2002 10:32 | Well, tomorrow's the day. About time these shares got a move up, and if the results "significantly exceeding expectations" are priced in after the recent 20p fall in price, well, what can you do!? If they do eps 3.5p then this is now on a PE of 18.5, quite reasonable. I'm staying out (probably), but good luck PJT holders - may see some buys coming in this afternoon. | taurusthebear
24/2/2002 16:28 | AFTERNOON ALL!! do u think the slightdrop is due to the anti-sentiment in the telco sect? nice to see that their price is higher than egs (obviously!), ctm, thus, telewest. mmo2 will soon go lower, and vod is looking dodgy at the mo!! come on pjt buck the trend!! | wholden
19/2/2002 20:19 | tony, I've noticed the sells again tonight after hours. 376,500 and around 3 million sold last week. I like this company and can't find any bad news anywhere but with the results coming up they're worth noting. Von. | vonbrokenburger
19/2/2002 18:37 | Have you noticed recently the ads in the broadsheets for blackberry, on an almost daily basis? Encouraging I think to know that the blackberry is getting advertised. Although I would prefer some write ups in gadget magazines etc... | tony979
19/2/2002 16:02 | wholden, NMS = normal market size. Above this size the market maker(s) can raise the price above that quoted (for buys) or below that quoted (for sells). NMS seems to vary from day to day according to activity in the market, especially in thinly traded shares like PJT. NAV = net asset value. All assets, including cash, of a company. Companies often trade under NAV if they are out of favour, but it is meant to offer some theoretical "value" to the impending buyer, as if the company was bought or broken up, it would supposedly be worth at least that amount. In theory! Taurus | taurusthebear
19/2/2002 11:50 | cheers von, and thanx to janice!!! very quiet here today!, all activity is around TWN, EPO AND ALSO MVS!!!! | wholden
19/2/2002 11:35 | Janice thanks I always blow it when I try to be clever. Von. | vonbrokenburger
19/2/2002 11:32 | NMS - Normal Market Size | janice mclean
19/2/2002 10:47 | Wholden, You're welcome. NAV stands for net asset value which so far as I know means the value of the companies assets, ie its buildings, its cash in the bank and its investments etc once all its creditors are paid off. ie how much the company would have in cash if it closed down, paid its debts off and was left with just the cash left. NMS (Nominal Maket Share) is simply the standard amount that marketmakers are willing to trade in a share on a normal trade. If you try to buy or sell more than this amount i a single trade then they don't have to give you the quoted price you see on ADVFN and you may not get a favourable deal. That can hurt if a shares going down on you and you want out. If I'm incorrect on the NAV bit I hope someone will jump in but I've checked what I've posted in the "Which guide to shares" so I think its pretty accurate. Von. | vonbrokenburger
19/2/2002 04:06 | von, sorry to ask such a simple question to your good self, but can you pls explain what the NAV means for a certain stock. also the NMS!!! sorry to be a burden, but you explain things in laymans terms which is good for a "thicko" like me!! if it keeps on like this i'll have to pay you a consulatantcy fee!!! cheers warwick | wholden
19/2/2002 04:01 | von, its quite poss, but with all the mellay of ACV and MBD+SWD there is not much to excite the folks out there!! maybe that is good thing, stops too much of the rapid highs, which in turn can turn to rapid losses!. it will be interesting to see what the results look like? maybe PJT can buck the trend for the telco sector!!!! take care peeps!! regs warwick | wholden
18/2/2002 15:12 | A few nice buys today. Do you think that people are starting to get in before the results now? | vonbrokenburger
18/2/2002 10:56 | taurusthebear - thanks for the update on Advanced Visual. Yes that posting was down to my internet connection i think causing problems. I then tried to edit and delete but to no avail so had to leave the 3 postings! | martin44
16/2/2002 15:13 | martin44 - ACV is Advanced Visual. Only connection to PJT I can find is this from 20/11/01:- "Advanced Visual also announced its appointment as a reseller of BT Cellnet's Blackberry in the UK. The wireless corporate e-mail solution, which enables a user's PDA device to be constantly updated with their desktop e-mail, has had considerable success in the US." Did you know you posted three times? Did you know you posted three times? Did you know you posted three times? Taurus ;-) | taurusthebear

15/2/2002 10:07 | martin44 good post!! had not heard of that, where did you hear of logica's comments?? does any body know if there is any match up between ACV and PJT??? the reason why i ask is because of the blackberry project?? regs wh | wholden
15/2/2002 08:52 | Well been sitting on the sidelines for a while with the occassional comment from me. I would also be v.interested to know if they were buys or sells yesterday? In addition posted some interesting news from Logiga about the new MMS sms texting in conjunction with Blackberry RIM Software vendor Logica has developed a multimedia messaging service (MMS) solution specifically for the corporate market, and will showcase the product at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes. Logica developed the software using Research In Motion's (RIM) Java Software Developers Kit for the GPRS version of the BlackBerryTM wireless e-mail solution, available through RIM's developer program. It will demo in Cannes using a RIM BlackBerry device. "This is an extremely important development, not only for Logica and RIM, but for the corporate sector," said Logica Mobile Networks CEO Gerry McKenna in a prepared statement. "Efficient and effective transfer and use of information in graphical form such as sales forecast within today's companies is critical to success." "We are pleased that Logica chose to carry out this innovative development on the BlackBerry J2ME platform, demonstrating once again the key strengths of RIM's Java-based technology", said Charles Meyer, director and vice president, RIM Europe. | martin44
14/2/2002 21:00 | Anyone care to explain to huge trades reported late on in the day today? They all look like sells to me but I doubt it. | shortermer1
13/2/2002 14:39 | wh - you'll certainly get a few fireworks with that lot! I expect there to be some excellent tech bargains available in the "near future". The problem, as ever, is identifying them, and the right time to go in, but debt is not flavour of the month right now, and so I am sticking with profitable companies, and hence my interest in PJT. Taurus | taurusthebear
13/2/2002 05:39 | von, cheers for that, i am in, but bought near the top about a month ago at 85p!! got stitched up by my broker! went online to purchase at 81p, server went down, and by the time i got back online to check the trades noticed my trade was not on on, so rang broker and placed deal with 5p plus to my original!!ahhh ney mind, as you both say long term this one!! leave well alone. gone for acv, qxl mvs and pop for the thrills and spills of it!! ( for my sins ) keep ip the excellent post von and taurus!! regs wh | wholden
12/2/2002 16:17 | Wholden, Taurus is right I am in but I wouldn't like to advise whether to buy or not in these markets. I believe they're cheap or I would have sold obviously but these are dodgy times for telecoms. I do expect a rise closer to the numbers and will wait and see as I'm not convinced the U.S will tank completely so I don't see a whole lot more downside now on PJT. Time will tell though and watching trading patterns seems to be the best bet at the moment. Good luck, Von. | vonbrokenburger
12/2/2002 15:31 | taurus, thanks for that, as usual very informative, excellent post!! cheers again wh | wholden |
