04/1/2002 09:53 | Project Telecom PLC 4 January 2002 PRESS RELEASE Project Telecom pursues strategy for next-generation data services with UK agreement to resell BlackBerry FRIDAY, 4 January 2002 -- Project Telecom, a leading UK independent provider of wireless voice and data services to the corporate sector, has signed an agreement with BT Cellnet to resell BlackBerry, the secure, wireless business information system, into the UK corporate and SME market. Tim Radford, Project Telecom's Chief Executive, said: 'Our strategy for exploiting the opportunities from next-generation wireless services is to position Project Telecom as 'prime contractor' responsible for the delivery of data solutions, and all aspects of customer service, to the business market. This agreement, which makes Project Telecom the only company able to offer both BlackBerry and OfficeLive in the UK, demonstrates that our partners recognise the value of the relationships we have established within the corporate sector.' Developed by Research In Motion, the Canadian mobile communications company, BlackBerry enables business executives to receive and send e-mails and SMS messages over wireless networks, without having to dial in or initiate connections. It also allows access to desktop applications such as address book, calendar and task lists, providing real-time Personal Information Management 24 hours a day. The solution utilises BlackBerry Enterprise Server software, installed alongside the corporate server behind the corporate firewall, to copy, compress and encrypt messages for forwarding over GPRS to a wireless handheld device. In the UK messages are delivered over the GPRS network of BT Cellnet. BlackBerry is compatible with Microsoft Exchange and incorporates Triple DES encryption technology. Since its US launch in January 1999, it has experienced substantial demand and is now used by approximately 9,700 companies across North America. BlackBerry customers will be contracted via Project Telecom with BT Cellnet, Project Telecom receiving a share of the revenues generated from sales of BlackBerry Enterprise Servers, Client Access Licences and 'Blackberry by BT Cellnet' wireless handheld devices and monthly service charges. Project Telecom will retain ownership of all billing. James Moberly, Product Marketing Director of Project Telecom's Corporate Services division, commented: 'We believe there is substantial pent-up demand for BlackBerry in the UK that should soon result in new revenue for Project Telecom.' -ENDS- For further information contact: Tim Radford - Chief Executive Project Telecom Mobile: 07831 642911 James Moberly - Product Marketing Director Project Telecom Corporate Services Mobile: 07771 550001 | vonbrokenburger
03/1/2002 16:22 | isitsafe, I understand your caution, its probably served you well but what price do you have in mind for PJT? I understand that they are to beat brokers consensus quite comfortably of 9.6 million so presuming this means approx 11 million in profits then a PE of only 20 would give them a marketcap of 220 million or just over one pound per share and thats without factoring 2002 earnings or the fact that they grew profits at 70 odd percent with their last set of numbers. Be interested to know your price target on these. Von. | vonbrokenburger
02/1/2002 22:39 | lw yes i hold and know pjt. I've no argument with the likely success of the company - its the market that's changed and in this market the kind of share price gains you're hoping for are not realistic. Now if this was 99..... | isitsafe
18/12/2001 22:42 | isitsafe, yea bad choice of words I agree however don't agree with your mocking. imho I think you'll be the one getting a big suprise, if you know the stock, the company, the product and whats happening you may well owe me an apology. By the way, although you endorsed the company do you hold the stock? woftm..lw | littlewillie
18/12/2001 21:36 | pjt are my current airtime provider. i used to be with hutchison telecom (subsidiary of orange) but i think pjt bought the hutchinson client base. hutchinson used to deal with bt cellnet so i guess the sale of hutchinson would allow orange to concentrate on their core business. pjt customer service has been very helpful and i've spoken to them on a number of occasions. however, this is only available mon-fri office hours. if the service is good then they will attract and retain their client base. if not, customers will go elsewhere. i don't know where they get their business from though. i've seen one retail branch close in birmingham and i haven't seen any others elsewhere. this is all good for turnover although i don't know if they make any money out of it! | gokelstone
18/12/2001 20:07 | maiden results ? Some time ago mate. This was a 2000 flotation at 70p on the second attempt. the stock moves fast as it is tightly held. perfectly tradable if you have faith in the co (wh i do). But honestly, phrases like "post results expect up to £2 per share and even then....." i mean for god's sake where have you been this last 18 months ? | isitsafe
10/12/2001 08:04 | Morose, I'M cagey about Telecoms as fingers well and truly burnt with ATN but these boys are delivering, they aren't a cash burn co. making wild predictions, they are making and delivering and the figures are superb. They don't seem to have seriousopposition, won't always be like that but by the time oppo. is formed imho they will be so much farther in and respected as the market leader that they will be pretty well unassailable. I got in at 45p in Oct and topped up at 70p, the stock is liked, they deliver announcements regulaly and the word is that when the maiden results are announced stock will climb faster than Harry Potters broomstick, Nimbus 2000.I will buy more. By results time imho price will be 15-20% up but post results expect up to £2 per share and even then it will be difficult to sell as expected growth/profit projections are mind blowing. Even tip by I.C.recently failed to hurt price, thats how good they are!!! woftm=watch out for the manholes...lw | littlewillie
09/12/2001 09:10 | around 300,000 were bought at 79p, someone thinks they will go a lot higher. | international
08/12/2001 23:03 | lw try as i may i can't work out what woftm means.i'm usually good on abbreviations. is this stock worth buying at the current price? fundamentally very good. | morose
06/12/2001 09:13 | Moving well this am, not sure why but , I guess, we'll take it, "go on my son"...lw woftm | littlewillie
04/12/2001 22:18 | Wurzel Gummage.. Don't agree to 60p.ish, mm's will want a good reserve of shares 'cos they'll know whats going to happen by the end of the month. Sure there will be some sellers but anyone bright enough to have bought shares will know whats going on, imho. I don't see a downside to speak of, flat for a week and then movement...There's money to be made in quantity here....lw woftm | littlewillie
04/12/2001 22:13 | Share Wiz. It would be nice if you're right 'cos if its a double wammy it won't have the impact of a good deal closely followed by superb results, that ought to see as much as £2 imho by end of year, wow...lw woftm | littlewillie
04/12/2001 11:39 | I see a fall to about 60 - 65p then a recovery thereafter presently 78/82 and i think a bit over priced at this level......following their dramtic rises over the past few months this value will fall due to profit takers ...then the market will rebuy and the price will come back up...wait a week then buy..have fun!..scarecrow | scarecrow
04/12/2001 08:14 | i would expect them to announce the suggested blackberry deal well before any results; the report proposed it would be expected 'in the next couple of weeks'. | share wizard
03/12/2001 09:56 | It would appear from T.R.'s statement that they are going to announce mind -blowing figures; if they do that plus the Blackberry deal annoncement at the same time,[it figures] then imho this price will go into orbit, it could provide the Xmas pressie. we all want. I'm not ramping it, no need, this is going to be better than a Nimbus 2000!!!!....lw woftm | littlewillie
03/12/2001 09:06 | after the bullish news release and the tip from the telegraph, its come as a relief to finally find a company that appears to be worth investing in, rather than the typical recovery play or short term play that appears to predominate the market. well done PJT. | share wizard
02/12/2001 23:55 | Should have bought Friday, Damn.Only have 10 minutes in the morning at 8am. | johndee

02/12/2001 09:26 | tipped in the sunday telegragh today as a buy, saying project are due to make an announcement in the next two weeks surrounding a new major deal, allowing it to sell blackberry, (the latest mobile gadit), to its exsiting corporate customers. looking good. | international
01/12/2001 11:04 | international A trend can change as it did on Sept. 20th, until then it was on a down trend, before Sept 20 I bet you could not have predicted this uptrend. Just because it looks good and it's going up does not mean that the trend could not change next week, although I do believe this share has a lot going for it, I would not base my investment decision on an Investtech chart. | hyper al
01/12/2001 10:32 | much more to go for, see; | international
