Posted at 07/7/2004 09:10 by mylands Tony14Thanks for the two links. My broker is adamant that PAS only get a percentage of their players' salaries and NOT a percentage of transfer fees. The good news about such an arrangement is that PAS do not suffer from the 'peaks and troughs' of infrequent transfer deals and instead have a steady flow of ongoing income spread over the life of the players under contract to them. I believe they are on 5% and so if Rooney does sign with Everton on a five year contract at £12.5m, PAS will be due £625k. |

Posted at 25/6/2004 15:43 by oligoad are PAS a far bigger agency then FAN or is just as a result of having rooney as a client ?? |
Posted at 25/6/2004 13:58 by james 2 mylands - did you ever receive that list of footballers under contract with PAS ?TIA j2 |
Posted at 25/6/2004 12:05 by mylands Don't know if many investors in PAS understand how they operate. They take a percentage of the player's wages, not of any transfer fees. This means they benefit when a player's wage rises and they get a continuous income stream as opposed to erratic income dependant on infrequent transfers. |
Posted at 25/6/2004 08:43 by garth Double blow of Rooney's injury and England's exit was bound to lead to a mark-down.The injury makes it more likely that he stays at Everton for the time being, IMO. That will bring next season's early form into play into determining his value. Short term I would have thought PAS might see continued weakness. A continuation of England and Rooney's performances might have projected it towards 20p. Long term, I'm sure it will get there. G. |
Posted at 24/6/2004 14:36 by garth Roonie's uncle in a Radio 5 Live interview today was full of praise for the PAS. Excellent free PR!G. |
Posted at 24/6/2004 13:16 by moonblue also rooney being linked to pas may increase prolie of pas and attract more big name players |
Posted at 22/6/2004 08:18 by mylands How many people know that PAS have Renaldo under contract as well, so whatever happens on Thursday PAS are the winners!Apparently Rooney has signed a £5m one year deal with Nike and PAS get 5%. Not bad for just one sponsorship contract. |
