Management, who own significant stakes in the business, believe that there is a huge opportunity in US which they now know they can exploit. They have carefully tested the market and the sales of plans from the first signed up vets are extremely high which much higher profit margins than the U.K. That coupled with the wholesaler contracts gives them huge confidence. They have therefore decided to take a hit on short term revenue by selling the buying group, in order to take advantage of this opportunity. They are thinking long term and know that in 2/3 years time the US will generate huge revenues and profits. They will not dilute their own shareholdings as they know how valuable these will be.

Markets looking at this very favourably , no share dilution is a big plus here.

Bigglesbingham:

I think I will leave that to the broker, the opportunity is now fully in the open.

It's just a simple case of signing up the vets from the leads given to PVG by the drug companies reps, on the road.

The actual selling of the plans is a given. It works, as can be seen from my post earlier today.

💯

That's the plan. Pet lover with these updates you have the finger on the pulse, what are you real estimates for March June sept and Dec 17? I'd be really interested to compared to what they do achieve. If you don't want to post no problem but I trust what you say.

Agreed pet lover they will probably have at least 20 trainers to service new clinics in that number. Growth next year could be very rapid indeed. And yes a new tie up with Merck in France announced so they are contracted with a range of huge drug companies who see how much vaccine compliance rates go up when pets are on PVG pet plans. Amazing for a £35m company

Welcome to the 100 pets on plan club Underhill Animal Hospital! Keep up the great work!"

##################################################################################

This from the American site last night.

It only started selling the plans at the very end of December and has passed the 100 mark already.

If PVG have a staff of 30 on the case later this year the plan numbers will go berserk as more vets get contracted.

another nice day at the office...Touchwood.. Ps our labradoodle is called Roberto.
I wonder what percentage of our shareholders have a pet. I bet its a very large number.

in broad brush terms the buying group generated 766k operating profit ... so earnings will be less that amount ... assuming tax zero cos of losses elsewhere as business grows. BUT that should be a one year effect as revenues and profits start to kick in from new plans. as time goes on we all hope that this will be exponential. building blocks are in place and will continue. the busines has the potential to be huge. ps did you read the tie up in france ??

So,going to be debt free and have cash to expand rapidly WITHOUT CALLING ON SHAREHOLDERS FOR MORE CASH. That, in itself,is very refreshing when so many companies have a bad habit of asking shareholders to dip into their pockets.

PVG previously sold off its chain of vets for a very healthy profit and i am sure the buying group will produce the same. The sale price this time appears to be above £3.25M and could be a fair amount over that.

Extremely upbeat update that I am sure will be picked up on within the wider market over the next few weeks.

The tie ups with the massive drug companies in America, France and Holland set PVG apart.

Well the buying group generates £1m per year so that is the bit that they are disposing of. I think there is not much point in updating per plan numbers just two months after they last told the market - gets a bit over the top. We know roughly the current growth rate in plans but the point is that the USA will generate huge growth over the coming years but only if they capitalise on the contracts and relationships they have already generated.

Would have liked a plans sold figure in US. Any ideas on what the term dilutive would actually mean??

really good and detailed statement. very clear and focused strategy. executing without shareholder dilution. not a lot not to like !

Thought they might dispose of the buying group - makes sense considering the opportunity in the USA and the limited growth prospects for the buying group. Clearly they will be getting a fair few million for it

I've recently bought into WEY education (Ticker WEY). Its another stock that has hit a market that can grow fast, year in year out, without much in the 'way' of stopping it grow (no pun intended) .
Check it out.
And thanks guys for PVG, I've held PVG for a while now, and to start with I was annoyed (it took a few months before anything happened), but stuck with it, and its proved to be a winner! Looking good for the years ahead. Thanks

The spread is now far lower than it was 18 months ago when it was often a good 12%

It's now under half that.

Goes to show if you buy the correct stock and have to pay an horrendous spread at the time,it's not worth worrying about, when you realise returns 3 years down the line.

Your level Two is not the true spread you can deal within that most of the time.

Do a dummy buy and sell for a better idea of actual spread.

TRUMPS plan to get AMERICA growing at 4% is the ideal environment for PVG"S rapid expansion rollout.

It makes the task ahead that bit easier.

Don't forget it should also rub off in Europe with consumer confidence growing that should only benefit PVG in those markets. 🐶🐶🐶
