Well the market doesn't think much of the deal from chevrons point of view... They're down around $7 from 126 to 119, over 5.5%.

Which is a pity, as I've been swapping my CVX for RDS & BP (to get a much higher yield) over the past few days, and I'm less than halfway through..

Apparently not trumped but rather it's been rejected after a long consideration & they elected Chevron as the preferred bid.

Chevrons $65/share bid for Anadarko has just been trumped by Occidental Petroleum at $70+/share.

Risk on returning. S&P 500 over 2900 !! Come on Pmo . Majors are closing in on last year highs . Given the beta on Pmo we should be doing the same on a risk on scenario and better . Not much resistance over 108–109 .

So on daily chart we have resistance at 104.55 on weekly old support level at 108 note: there after weekly and monthly only have last year's high of 146.89 as resistance . I raised my SL to 95.25 just under support on the daily of 95.95 . Average at 70p so bar a gap down its a certain 25.25 for my trades this year so far . Hoping to see those highs taken out this year for sure and replicate last's year's 100% gain . Fingers crossed

Price of oil spiking up again, PMO lagging at 100p. The round number gang in town again. If oil continues to rise PMO will have to break upwards and will ping like an elastic band. Could be time for a quick purchase or long position just to catch that ping. IMO.

Long term value looks good here but I took profits as it looks like it may correct and I would hate to loose 20 percent gain.US earnings season started which was the trigger of a softer period for the shares I held last year although others did wellWill get back in either way once I know the trend
