15/3/2017 10:02 | The scramble begins for shorters to close.Onwards and upwards. That sharp dip yesterday would have been a insider leak so the mm's dropped it to let some shorts close out. | anony mous
15/3/2017 08:32 | SHORTERS - "Beware the Ides of March!" lol | bgwesley
15/3/2017 08:31 | I can wait a few more days. Not very appealing to be short with pmo now. Refinancing sorted, small wait for bond issue, positive oil rebalancing news coming out. If you are considering topping up or making your first buy here I wouldn't wait too long imo. | eodfire
15/3/2017 08:27 | Right on cue the shorting algos get switched on and the downward pressure is immediate - they always seem to give the market 15-20 mins to settle then away we go. From 60.5 bid to 58.75 in 5 mins BUT There does seem much more willingness to push the bid higher this morning, so maybe we aint going back down without a fight | nav_mike
15/3/2017 08:25 | Indeed:) technically very oversold and With all that buying pressure it was like a coiled spring :) | dealer1972
15/3/2017 08:24 | God news but still the same position re the VWAP so don't expect any change to the pressure on the sp | begorrah88
15/3/2017 08:20 | Must be in a bunker with tin hats on. | eodfire
15/3/2017 08:19 | TODAY was the perfect storm....Good news on refinancing plus oil price rebound.....+10% ... | ragewarrior
15/3/2017 08:17 | Very true dealer, but nice to see a good bounce off yesterday's low all the same. | eodfire
15/3/2017 08:14 | They will still want vwap at 62p or below before they the 22nd so unlikely to let it fly just yet imo | dealer1972
15/3/2017 08:13 | Oh dear oh dear. 60.75 and going up. | eodfire
15/3/2017 08:09 | Did mention yesterday that we might have seen the selling climax needed to end the current downmove. However lets get the shorters 15 mins to get out of bed and see if theyve changed tactic | nav_mike
15/3/2017 08:07 | Oh dear, shorters hurting this morning. | eodfire
15/3/2017 08:02 | Probably, can't get an early top up..... | oilretire
15/3/2017 07:53 | Looks like we found bottom yesterday? | eodfire
15/3/2017 07:52 | Agree Steve. It's certainly not $15/bbl, as I said on latest guidance it's more like $30/bbl minimum. Lots of moving parts to that equation as you say. Debt being paid down as we speak though....... | oilretire
15/3/2017 07:47 | MMH results way ahead | csmwssk12hu
15/3/2017 07:45 | On the costs & breakeven, remember a large proportion of our production is gas, price of which tends to move up and down with oil price but is still a fir bit lower on a boe basis... Then there's G&A costs of around $300MM IIRC. At least there should be no more impairments, and some of the exploration allocation will be discretionary, so there's a bit of flexibility on BE cost. Retail bonds dropped a little yesterday which is more worrying for the long term health than the current share price. | steve73
15/3/2017 07:40 | not sur eif we have 75% of CBH in the bag yet? | mpclag
15/3/2017 07:38 | So do I take it 100% finance sorted? And for how long? | glenkaz
15/3/2017 07:37 | Looking to place my IAE funds somewhere. PMO and TLW seem to be the bombed out ones with possible upside. Debt of course is the issue and today's news is a help. Looking at posters, there seems to be a lot of angst. Can anyone recommend a poster who has knowledge of oil producers as I don't recognise anyone I know? | johnrxx99
15/3/2017 07:35 | I could be wrong. But I think that the debt comes down with over $15 a barrel assuming no other spending. There will be other spending of course, but how much is down to them. Catcher is almost complete now, they can continue to defer SeaLion, the ball is in Premiers court. | adh0 |
