18/10/2015 18:52 | DbnoutI know where your coming from and like you I am well out of pocketI was/am averaging at 13p+ even with my recent 231000 purchasesDW has made some horrendous decisions over the past few years but he is answerable now to Captain Bob MortonThe underlying performance is soundThe outlook is soundIt has a decent income baseIt has potential to rise rapidly given its liquidity positionAgain I don't expect big institution money to come in unless they stupidly issued new sharesRemembering the old motto of you need a seller before you can attract a buyerOther than day players who would want to sell at the momentKeep your nerve Db you may be surprisedGood luck with your other stocks | jefftwo
18/10/2015 18:14 | I do hope your correct and your friends know what they are talking about! I am under on all my aim investment/gamble and could do with one of them coming good. | dbnout76
18/10/2015 14:26 | Feeling really good about Porta today. I have a number of friends who seem to think this share could take off in a big way soon. All very bullish. It's the perfect storm. A lot of hype from a good article, directors buys and a company that is gradually transforming into a profitable firm and is cash generative too. All the right ingredients for buyers to come in. With a trading statement due soon it could even help to tip the balance. I am also hoping some II will come on board soon. We are still below the broker rating for this share of 10p. Look out for HH next week. He made a large investment in Cenkos in September then on October 17th after the Porta results/presentation sold a small amount for 42K. Just seems like he want to free up funds for another share. HH will know that Buying PTCM could have a big impact on his investment. We also know a number of investors went to the PTCM presentation. Was he one of them? With a large stake in Porta I would of had someone there. Even on a basis of 36m turnover I still rate this share well above it's current 25M valuation. Even at 6P I really thought it was undervalued even when others lost their nerve. Would love to see some big buys next week. Come on Steffan and II's. Remember last year the shares peaked around November/December time. See what happens next week.I really wonder if we could be at an inflexion point. | guildedge
17/10/2015 21:49 | If he was any good he wouldn't have to keep writing this nonsense. | kimboy2
17/10/2015 21:34 | Zac mir has got his wrong on so many occasions - he should keep his mouth shut! | dbnout76
17/10/2015 16:03 | Had to google to find Zak Mir full story as using direct link covers up part of the story from his Oct 17th graph gazing. Nice find. However in September he suggested a floor of 7p and a peak of 11p. While I hope he is right this time, the job of guessing the share movement of Porta is far from a simple thing. It's also possible that the BoD managed the share price for it to fall so they could buy in. (It's all about how you word the accounts and make them appear.) The one big plus from the latest rise is it seems to be free of big sellers. Even Friday the sells were not big and mostly small private investors. Then again the buys were barely above the 100k mark too.(Apart from the big director buys that lead the market a few days earlier.) I have also been following Cenkos too this week. I note that Hargreaves Hales reduced his stock in this share this week. (To free up £44.25k.) To invest elsewhere??? HH is a major shareholder in Porta. Would love to see that money in Porta. See what his plan is here as he has been a loyal stakeholder here and may well have decided things are starting to look up for Porta. | guildedge

16/10/2015 18:14 | You are 100% right oldie | jefftwo
16/10/2015 17:44 | You are probably right about timeframe. I would expect DW would like an exit even faster than 2 years given he is into his 70s. The issue they face is tying key people in as they are the only assets the business has. | oldie52
16/10/2015 17:38 | GuildsThe only part I would disagree with is long termI am not sure Bob Morton wants to be around for more than 2 years. He will want to sell his share but given his average of around 9pHe will want 3 XIMHO the company is being built for an international takeover which could be within Bobs timeframeI look forward to the next TS with eager anticipationYour summary reports are excellent as always | jefftwo
16/10/2015 17:19 | [...] Pretty indepth but positive article from iii. 'The interim results, therefore, showed a £549k operating loss extending over £1.1 million at the pre-tax level. But adding back did help a near £1.4 million depreciation/amortis So a 721k net cashflow from operations! This is what people are missing here. I have said it all along the underlying figures from the results were far from bad. Very encouraging really. I never understood why people were so eager to sell. This share could quickly rise on good news here. It's a share to tuck away and keep for the long term. Conclusion from article. 'Speculative tuck-away So the businesses' underlying momentum explains the directors' financial optimism, despite Porta's sketchy value credentials. Due to their acquisitions policy there will always be a gap between headline profits and those pre-goodwill amortisation; and a chief risk is the business cycle peaking before the company broker even publishes a profit forecast. But that's a matter for the crystal ball, while management gets on with honing a decent marketing services group, underlining this with share purchases. As a speculative tuck-away therefore, Porta merits attention' This seems to suggest a stock worth tucking away for the long term haul. | guildedge
16/10/2015 16:31 | Looks like this mornings coverage has had the Edmund Jackson effect, right on cue at 10 o'clock. 'A speculative tuckaway' about sums it up. | geraldus
16/10/2015 13:42 | I very much doubt that. Good to see a decent chunk owned by management, but I do not think it is a precursor for MBO. | elcapital
16/10/2015 13:37 | Given the percentage of the business senior management now own I guess there is a possibility that they may try and take the business private. They clearly feel that the business is currently undervalued so if they could get the funding I guess it would be a possibility. | salpara111
16/10/2015 12:47 | Well this is better I must say, looks like sellers have now finally done and cleared off. Lets get back up to 10p plus so we can all stop staring at losses in our portfolios. (watch sells pile in now I've said that, apologies if I jinks it) | pugil
14/10/2015 17:53 | I guess we will have to wait and see what the TS brings in 1-3?? weeks time. If it is good news the share will rise. What will be interesting to see is how well the share price holds above 8p now. Mixed bag of trades today. I still expect Steffan to buy shares at some point. Will he see 8.25p as good value? Not sure how well his knowledge of the firm is yet. Interesting times for Porta. The confidence on this board has certainly gone up in last week or so. | guildedge
14/10/2015 17:02 | Board can only buy stock when there is no corporate activity or trading statement on the horizon which is why director purchases are not always great news. Apparently AIM team looking for this at the moment. Are board members mopping up stock again because no one else will? | pelliot
14/10/2015 12:53 | I totally agree OldieBut you and I as seasoned investors know how small caps and their BODs workBM is an expert in this gamePTCM issued a trading update last October si I assume it's going to be goodThe board know already!!!!This gives me confidence in the stock based upon immoral but legal conditions imho | jefftwo
14/10/2015 12:29 | jefftwo this is an interesting take on insider dealing - just a little perk for the Directors! Think you will find the regulators don't agree with you. To ensure a level playing field Directors should buy shares after a Trading Update is issued so everyone is trading on the same information. | oldie52
14/10/2015 09:07 | Amazing...back to break even for me! If the overhang really has cleared then I might still get my 10p target by y/e. | salpara111
13/10/2015 17:56 | Some nice insider buying here. I would think it is also based on the back of them knowing the seller is out of the way. Well played BoD | elcapital
13/10/2015 17:54 | Oldie with the amount of information available to all directors it's simply a perk rather than insiderAs mentioned earlier do you think they would have all bought this week if the previous quarter was poor and the outlook for the next 10 weeks was similarThere all in it to make money similar to us but with a stack of inside knowledgeMorally speaking wrong but that's the rules imho | jefftwo |
