From the RNS :-

Neil Herbert, Managing Director of Polo Resources, said:

"Infill drilling on Zone 1 continues as Extract seeks to progress the resource
base into the measured and indicated category. We believe a total resource base
of 500 mlbs is achievable from targets already defined.

"Meanwhile, the Rossing South exploration programme has further extended the
known mineralisation at the project and Extract has now confirmed the discovery
of a new high grade zone. These results are very exciting and should add
significant further value to the project which is already expected to become one
of the world's largest uranium mines."

Here are my figures, currently:

Price Value
Asset Qty (m) US$ US$m

Extract shares 20.74 8.39 174.0
Caledon shares 54.41 0.97 52.8
Caledon loan notes 9.40 0.79 7.5
GCM shares 15.22 1.49 22.7
A-Cap shares 14.87 0.39 5.8
WME shares 49.56 0.14 7.2
Impact shares 11.36 0.18 2.0
Uranex shares 5.70 0.27 1.5

Balance of working capital 48.3

Total 321.8

NB I need to recheck the A-Cap & Impact situation as there have been recent RNSs relating to holdings that I haven't fully studied yet. I also haven't taken account of Extract's rights issue yet (which will improve the figures but reduce the cash a bit) because Polo hasn't yet issued a notice to confirm their position.

The US$321.8m NAV compares with a current market cap for Polo of US$190.2m

DYOR, E&OE - I mean it!

Cheers,

Mark

All we need is:

1.CDN to be taken over.
2.GCM to be given the green light for Phulbari.
3.RIO to bid for EXT.
4.Peabody to purchase remainder of PRL's Mongolian assets.

None of this is out of the question, what price Polo then?

Polo Resources

The company's 9.06% owned Extract Resources announced on the 1st of September that exploration work in Zone 3 at its Rossing South Uranium project in Namibia has returned positive results, with strong uranium mineralisation discovered 1.2 kilometres south of Zone 2 and encouraging spectrometer results 2.5 kilometres south west of Zone 2. In addition 8 drill holes all returned multiple mineralisation intercepts at the Salem project, 10 kilometres south of Rossing South. With a 6.5p target price, the stance remains buy.

Though I'm not invested in Polo, I thought the time had come for me to start tracking it due to its involvement with my other investments. Here is a summary of its investments and NAV figures:

Price Value

Asset Qty (m) US$ US$m

Extract shares 20.75 4.66 96.7

Caledon shares 54.41 0.78 42.7

Caledon loan notes 9.40 0.80 7.5

GCM shares 14.50 1.39 20.2

A-Cap shares 31.89 0.38 12.1

Berkeley shares 10.00 0.98 9.8

WME shares 49.56 0.19 9.4

Impact shares 18.67 0.16 2.9

Balance of working capital 9.2

Total 210.5

Shares in issue 2,136.65

NAV/share (USc) 9.85

NAV/share (p) 6.16

These are calculated using latest share prices and exchange rates (A$ & GBp prices have been converted to US$ prices). The NAV excludes Polo's 50% stake in the Polo/Peabody JV and other Mongolian interests, which may be worth a further US$20-30m currently. Note that dilution of the NAV will occur if and when the various options and warrants issued by Polo are exercised (I observe that Peabody has over 400m warrants exercisable at 4p).

The recent Australian investments have done very well, so far. Now that I've got all of this in my spreadsheet, I can update current values at the push of a button, so feel free to ask if you'd like me to publish an update at any time.

Cheers,

Mark
