a little bit of 'theme investing' going on here as well i suspect ala Renesola play being a play in solar power we have Polo being a decent play on Uranium or indeed a play on dattel's superb ability create resource companies and then flog them to th'highest bidder

Too true sportbilly - if they were an Investment Trust with the quality of holdings they've got, they'd probably be at a premium to the value of their investments not a 35% discount...

I think Robson was asking about volumes earlier...

According to Yahoo, the average daily volume is 15.3m shares. 52.3m traded so far today.

I doubt there's anything especially significant happening. It may just be that, like me, the market has decided that the discount to NAV that Polo is trading at is silly (esp on the back of last night's further 4% rise in Extract). You were getting £1 worth of marketable assets for 54p before today's rise (which now makes it 63p, by my reckoning). It may be that a big buyer has deciced to take advantage of that, or that a big seller has cleared. Undoubtedly a lot of small momentum traders have climbed on board on the back of the rise.

Whilst such good value remains, I'm happy to wait & see.

Cheers,

Mark

marben,

yep - just read comment on lse saying exactly the same...

guess the rise is due to the Africa Intelligence article, or maybe it is catching up with the underlying value of its investments...

OLIVERCROMWELL - 16 Sep'09 - 12:02 - 5051 of 5080

"According to the World Nuclear Association, Mongolia has about 62,000 tonnes of recoverable uranium reserves."

-----------------------

Just to put that in context, Extract's JORCed (i.e. independently verified)discovery at Rossing South in Namibia of over 250Mlb U3O8 is equivalent to over 100,000 tonnes recoverable U already and likely to grow substantially beyond that. More than the whole of Mongolia in an explored area of around 10km2 (with plenty more to come IMO in the 637km2 of EPL 3138 and 3439).

zak,

that is an impossible question to answer...

it may retrace a little this pm or it could continue a slow & steady rise. in my opinion (and the reason behind my purchase this am) the break through 5p was significant and I am looking for 8-9p to come in the forseeable future...

My timescales are far longer than close of play, zak, so I really don't care what the share price might do in the next 3 hours and 17 minutes.
