Makes sense.

Good spot. So the questions are - who's been buying (will we get a Holdings RNS), and what is the remaining 9% going to do to the s/p.

Quilter sold more.

15% -> 13.9% -> 9.3%

9.5% dividend yield down here.

Roger rail - the peer set do not RNS buyouts either. This is a fund-level investment presumably from the PE fund which is financials and fintech focused.

I am surprised that there is no rns from poln on this. No idea if there is any shareholder interest in the investment funds acquiring mtw, I guess not .

Pollen funds. Not the management co.

Is this POLN buying MTW, or POLN funds buying MTW? Either way, can't say I'm too keen:

I checked the data and this is very close to FTSE 350 threshold. With a fair wind we should be eligible soon. Still very happy to own this and will be buying more shares if they continue to languish at circa TBV.

They are an absolute shambles. Head of IR works most the time in India.I was told at the time of the merger that they would support the price with share buy backs which they didn't honour. In complete free fall. Absolute incompetents in charge. The stuffed shirt Matthew Potter has lost a ton of money but when questioned he's unable to answer. Appalling company.

Maybe the lock-ups have expired. Either way the timing is quite opportune so I kinda hope this continues to languish over the coming weeks and months so I can fill my boots. We're paying nothing for the AM biz down here. Has anyone spoke to the IR team? Are they typically quite responsive? I sent them an email yesterday enquiring about index eligibility, FRE and have yet to hear back.

Very incompetent trading unless they're literally forced sellers.

I fear that Quilter may be selling c.14% of the co. Next RNS's may confirm.

Presumably a box-ticking exercise somewhere - take it out of the IT portfolio etc.

Are people worried about some kind of contagion from the FCA?

I can't see any reason why there would be any.

We need some real juice from the private equity/private credit side, which was how the merger was pitched. £15M EBITDA expected from that side for the full year. If they can get that up to £30M then we'll motor, especially if they increase the dividend by a good chunk.

Quilter a seller it seems - let's hope not all of them.

They've replied now to my message, and finally fixed it, BUT you couldn't make up what the message says:

"Thank you for your recent message.

Please confirm what holding you're referring to by POLN as there is no ticker on our platform that matches that."

I assume in the minutes after sending that, they discovered that oh, yes there is, it's the same POLN it's always been.

Not quite Barclays Stockbrokers levels of ineptness, but you do sometimes wonder about HL these days.

Don't see any reason ticker would change. No response yet from HL. They used to be a halfway house between basic and full service broker, but certainly veered down to basic.

Cost cutting - the effect of which will matter when we next have a "fast" market. Will be impossible to deal online or by telephone.

HL still very slow with anything corporate action related (I'm not clear this even should fall into a CA bucket). I usually find that I wait and then get to the point of 'seriously, still not processed?' and then they finally do it the day after I send a message...

Anyone know what the new ticker for this will be?Seems as though still trading under the old one at the moment.

Think (hope) it is only a matter of time. Probably needs an earnings release and a bit of commentary in IC and other trade publications as I believe it is still relatively unknown / under followed.
