Posted at 23/12/2014 15:34 by mudbath What are your current views on PLAZ greedfear ? |
Posted at 13/2/2014 09:06 by greedfear An updated debt restructuring. We're going to enter exciting times for PLAZ and us shareholders. What would you do if you were a bondholder and get the feeling bondholders will agree with the restucturing while there's a huge gap between nav and sp? Exactly! Start buying PLAZ shares. Truly a greed and fear play ... |
Posted at 04/1/2014 10:33 by muzerewa Hi no back in England, will pass by next time I'm in Bucharest in a couple of weeks. Well done on PLAZ, so far so good. |
Posted at 25/11/2013 15:49 by greedfear Must be the bottom. If bond holders agree there probably is going to be a right issue that corresponds with 6p for each share issued till now.The volume doesn't look like people wanting out at this level. There is/are seller(s) though but not being very agressively. Probably investors that do not want to invest more into PLAZ but willing to take part in the right issue. Freeing up money to do so, but it would not make sense for them to sell below 6p or so as that would be the contribution per share PLAZ would ask from their shareholders for every share held if the right issue would take place. Can't afford to buy anymore PLAZ alas. Anyway, just my two pennies. |
Posted at 09/1/2013 12:58 by chrisdonohue The proposer is the parent company Elbit and owns 62.52%(figures taken from last published 2011 annual Report). There are 3 other large holders based in Poland owning together around 21% (9.84%, 5.94%, 5.07%). 30m euros is the dividend paid in 2011 which worked out at around 0.101 euros a share which was not paid in 2012. This is an attempt by the parent comnpany to receive income at the same level as last year from its investment. I suspect that an EGM would need to receive 75% approval. |

Posted at 26/10/2008 11:14 by nickcduk As Edmundshaw pointed out, negative sentiment towards emerging markets is extremely prevalent at present:The problem with the likes of PLAZ is that they just continued to expand their development pipeline despite market conditions worsening markedly. Obviously never realised the business cycle exists and that they should have been cashing in their chips rather than looking for new developments over the last couple of years. They are in a pretty strong position in terms of cash but they have few completed developments generating income and plenty of projects they are already committed to funding. Should survive the current credit crisis and will probably look cheap in a few years but with no positive news on the horizon the shares don't look appealing at present. |
Posted at 09/7/2008 14:37 by edmundshaw Well, a sort of policy (from the prelims):"Dividend Policy The basis of the Company's stated dividend policy is to reflect the long-term earnings and cash flow potential of the Group, taking into account the Group's capital requirements, while at the same time maintaining an appropriate level of dividend cover. In Plaza's Interim Results announcement in September 2007, the Directors outlined their intention to make distributions based on the annual net profits of the Group starting with the 2007 financial year. In light of the Company's strong performance, owing to the highly profitable disposal of assets, the Board of Directors will seek shareholders' approval at the annual general meeting on 27 May, 2008 for a maiden dividend of 57 million, representing circa £0.14 per share. If approved, the first dividend is expected to be paid in June 2008, with an ex dividend date of May 28, 2008 for shareholders on the register at May 30, 2008." |
Posted at 09/7/2008 14:33 by edmundshaw I'm not sure Plaza has a dividend policy as such. But it is run to generate cash, and when it does I expect some of that cash to be distributed. The last dividend was around 4x covered from memory, so there was cash at the last year end; but it is true there are a lot of projects in early stages of development. However, to date Plaza has not had difficulty raising capital, recently in the Tel Aviv exchange. |
