22/7/2022 11:19 | So the Tern bid has failed, as I suggested it might on day one of the offer. Where next for PIRI, with all these 4p conversions just recently. I can't see any meaningful near term gains for small holders here.Tern themselves state this morning the difficulties of exiting as yet unquoted companies, which I imagine is similar for PIRI.It would be a real shame if for example a genuinely exciting business Engage, through no fault of their own, became victims of an overhang.Messy. | microscope
21/7/2022 22:18 | Bapodra, dont underestimate Lee Bapodra, I've spoken to him on more than one occasion and I'm a good judge of character for differentiating the wheat from the chaff...And he clearly knows what he's doing but maybe he just misjudged how dire market conditions would become and to be fair, not many were willing to acknowledge my comments as such since mid last year but yet here we are buddy! ...Unfortuately In a bullish scenario, most are blinkered to assume anything else buddy, maybe he succumbed to the same! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 21:26 | Its good to be a twa_t Loon, would you like to be part of that infamous gang? | one_frankel
21/7/2022 20:29 | You are investing in early stage growth albeit in disruptive technologies Bapodra, give it time to come to fruition and Pires is seemingly in ru_de financial health unlike that tu_rd! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 20:26 | I doubt it was Lee otherwise it wouldn't have been voted down...But I'll iterate again dont underestimate Lee, he's an incredibly shrewd cookie! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 20:11 | Surely Lee has chronically misjudged his shareholders though? He was happy to do the deal and have a place on the Tern board. Why is he now the saviour here? | onsideman
21/7/2022 19:26 | I completely understand the concerns with Lee's added interest here Bapodra but I'm buying too buddy, Pires is undoubtedly the 'Value' call here not Tern! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 16:31 | The AGM was predominantly a vote to agree on terms for Tern to buy Pires, it wasn't a standard AGM as such which is way there has to be legal representation to confirm the results but call it an audit! ...And Knocker, its good to add a little sarcasm here or there but not when you dont understand how pivotal this AGM was to all parties involved buddy! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 16:24 | Can't follow your post. Right words but in the wrong order (cf Morecambe and Wise with Andre Previn, 'right notes, wrong order')? There is no legal requirement for an attendee to be be legally represented at an AGM. End of. | 1knocker
21/7/2022 16:17 | Well if its a shareholder vote on a potentially pivotal moment for all parties involved Knocker, I expect there be not only a audit to confirm the results which is normally with a third party legal representative of some sort as its a mandatory requirement of being listed or should the london exchange take only the merits of each company as they like to state, which unfortunately would be highly concerning for a investor, no? | one_frankel
21/7/2022 16:12 | One F, since when is it a requirement for anyone to have legal representation at an AGM? This is a very incestuous field. I would dearly like to know what fingers our PW has in what pies, and where his personal interests lie, as I am still in ARB though dumped this. So far, the axiom that the sooner you cut loose from a dud or dubiously operated company the cheaper it is has proved true. Very pleased to be clear of Pires, albeit at a modest loss. | 1knocker
21/7/2022 14:58 | Boxer, its unfortunate Pires shareholders voted against it but I think Pires as a separate entity is the far more prudent and compelling choice for an investor especially with Lee at the helm and I doubt anything will ever change with Tern even in the next decade or so! ...Stick with it and be patient if you're still holding, good times will no doubt come as market conditions improve as you can't keep a good thing down for too long and management makes a huge difference! | one_frankel
21/7/2022 14:37 | Likewise fella | boxerdogz
21/7/2022 14:07 | Boxer, I wish you and all Pires shareholders good luck with their Pires investment portfolio. The Sure Ventures plc accounts posted yesterday show that the SVV1 portfolio will make you all real money and the share price will recover to 8p and beyond. Horses for courses. Tern shareholders had too much invested to 'give up' 21% in return for investment positions that were not explained enough. Pires shareholders had too much invested in their investments to want in on 21% of Tern. | stentorian |
