Pets at Home Group Plc: Board Change
Professor Susan Dawson appointed Independent Non-Executive Director
Pets at Home Group Plc, the UK's leading pet care business, announces that Tessa Green, Independent Non-Executive Director, has decided to step down from the Board at the Company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held on 12 July 2018. Tessa has been a Director of Pets at Home since 2014. Tessa will be succeeded at the AGM by Professor Susan Dawson. Susan is a veterinary academic and has been Professor and Dean of the Institute of Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool for the last seven years.
Susan started her career in veterinary practice in 1983 and has held management positions at Liverpool University for the last ten years. Susan has strong Board experience relating to the veterinary world, including as Senior Vice President of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, a Council Member for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a Founder Member of the Veterinary Schools Council.
Tony DeNunzio, Chairman of Pets at Home, said: "I would like to thank Tessa for her excellent contribution over the last four years and wish her every success in the future. We are delighted to welcome Susan to the Board; she brings very strong veterinary experience to the role and is an expert on the training and wellbeing of vets, which will be hugely valuable as we continue to develop this area of the business."

On appointment, Susan will become Chair of the Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee and the Pets Before Profit Committee. She will also be a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nominations and Governance Committee.
