The problem is that PTAL is not valued on what it is able to produce, but on what it does produce, given the limitations of varying river levels, a dodgy pipeline and sporadic ethnic uprisings.

Cannot understand with so much cash, cash generation, EBITDA generation AND oil price nearing $90 and staying high why this share is not so much higher!!! Thoughts? Share re-purchases help, but could up them given cash flows? Yield is great as well.

I gave up on PTAL as a perennial 40p stock. The only reason I kept it as my largest holding was the dividend - 18% a year is a robust return.

So anything above 40p is a bonus. :-)

Have I got this right.

Quarterly divi = 2.5 cent......= 2p.

That's 8p per year.

SP = 44.5p.

8/44.5 = 18 percent.

would think partly to do with recent ex div date passing + maybe some investors thinking current production is going to be like this for rest of the year?

agree with you Chubb looks like adequate rains. Interesting Iquitos area forecast to adequate plenty of rains in next four weeks
river levels must be rising.
Dry season comes to end by ? mid October but may be much earlier this time. when barges come back from Manaus I am hoping for around 20000 bye per day production

Despite the H2 curtailment, I still think this will creep up to 50p. Loving the quarterly dividends.

Well the latest update had something for everyone.

Really good H1.

Curtailing prod'n in H2 currently due to low river levels - pipeline not an option as they're not sure they'll get paid.

So there are going to be sellers and buyers depending on your outlook.
