Posted at 06/6/2023 12:34 by chassiemodo Sold my holdings in this share some time ago. Glad I did me think it will be mopped up by a private investor probably an old board member |
Posted at 11/5/2023 14:54 by don777 I think it might be an institutional investor doing this way to claim the offset future capital gains, just change shares from one account to another legal entity account. They cannot sell and buy in this kind of volume without share price changing |
Posted at 30/8/2022 08:19 by loganair Always a big problem for the retail investor compared to the big commercial investors how we don't get to see the vast majority of the information needed to make reasoned and considered investment choices even when we write to companies all too often just getting a standard reply in response. |
Posted at 23/8/2022 10:38 by don777 any one here noticed that the Ural-Brent price difference was dramatically changed from $33@16/08 to $24 today in a week?Any comments on it? TIA www.neste.com/invest |
Posted at 04/6/2022 08:13 by spudders Grim, the Nomad is used to long periods of not being updated by previous management, I expect they can handle this short delay in news flow as current management are more on the ball. I’m sure there are safer and better opportunities to make a return on other assets for new investors other than a risky Russian Oiler. For me I’m happy sitting long & let it play out. GLA 😀 |
Posted at 04/6/2022 07:55 by grimreaper2019 This company must be very close to falling out with their Nomad, it is all very well keeping quiet due to the war in Ukraine but investors need to know how restrictions, sanctions, ability to sell oil, local or export, for what price, how operations have been effected due to potential inability to source equipment and so on.According to the some historic posts Petroneft were about to embark on a drive to increase production via workovers and new wells, it is very poor form to not update, this usually means trouble ahead for shareholders. One could argue that all the above is in the price but suspension pending clarification is a real possibility. |
Posted at 14/4/2022 08:16 by tadtech GentlemenI have followed Petroneft over the years, it has served me well but we are in extraordinary times and should point out there is significant risk buying or holding Russian stocks currently - I am sure we have sophisticated investors here who are aware. Over the last week HSBC has stopped trading in both POG and POLY on their platform and I wonder whether this is the start of a purge by brokers, will they move to smaller below radar Russian companies in due course, if so it could be difficult to exit so please be aware and review your positions. No advice intended. |
Posted at 08/3/2022 11:34 by tadtech Not surprised to see the share price recovering, the near 80% fall from the January 5th high of 4.85p was excessive.Even considering political risk the shares, in my view, should be trading no lower than 3p which would equate to a market value of only £40m. Directors continue to convert their loans into shares which means they are totally aligned to retail investors. I never ever thought I would get the chance to buy at current levels again, a great opportunity in my considered opinion. Good luck trying to get a decent slice of stock !! DYOR etc |
Posted at 08/3/2022 09:13 by observer007 Looks like Tadtech has timed his/her entry point perfectly once again, seems to know Petroneft intimately !Some comment in the media how Russian stocks are being bought by Chinese & Indian investors, Petroneft was trading at 4.5p in January I noticed. |
Posted at 20/1/2022 16:36 by kevjones2 I was just thinking it's a great opportunity for new investors. I've enough in. |
