Wad - It's not long been announced that PFC won a huge, and major, multi billion contract. You'd guess that would be a positive for the share price wouldn't you? Who wouldn't? In fact the opposite has happened - the share price has been marked down savagely. So much for relying on pure guesswork alone.

. . . . I much prefer after doing fundamentals and chartism - to only then add a little pinch of bit of guesswork into the mix :)

Just wondering if anyone on this board was cool enough to pick some up at 760p early this morning?

M/Share @ "..In 2015 / 1 dropped 50 pro cent.."

- Yes but it's been dropping steadily, non-stop for the past 5 years solid! Down from the high of 1700p+ (Which is a year or two after I last sold out (1200p).

. . . In fact only since mid 2016 until now, has that long retrace shown any signs of bottoming out. At the moment it's just a little below ruining that fightback. If it bottoms around here then no harm done - as it can still be viewed as within that uptrend channel that commenced mid 2016. Any further down and it's time to recalibrate that maybe the old longer term drop from 2012 is still in play for a further retracing.
As ever being in XD period muddies the water, so need to be out of XD first to see what's what.

Can see 780p-ish as a natural, older, price-action support level - with 771p being a lower pivot point support too. That earlier 760p had me wondering where the hell it was going! So for today anywhere between 771p and 780p MIGHT be the floor INMO. But what about next week?

. . . EDIT: Just checked and 757p is also a (deeper) pivot point support level and so perhaps explains the visit to a tad just under 760p earlier.

That's a couple of support levels breached today - if it doesn't drift back up, in after hours trading. So, interesting day tomorrow.

. . . Overall, not oversold yet, but it is just a small step or two away from entering oversold territory - then it's choose your top-up/entry point, time.

. . . EDIT: In fact it closed 4 or 5p lower than when I posted. Also, that meant it did cross the oversold line - but only just. So not looking good at all for tomorrow Friday, and further next week.

. . . (With almost half the retrace occurring on Thursday that's just over a 9.9% fall since going XD on 20th April).

Bullish note from the knowledgeable Malcy's Blog (sign up it's free)
Petrofac reported yesterday whilst I was in a rather wet Glasgow but appear to be delivering pretty well under current circumstances. I wrote after my meeting with the new CFO that after all the recent banana skins that things were looking up and I still believe that. They hit pretty much all of my targets and I knew that I was low field on order intake, that was addressed by ‘excellent visibility’ and strong bidding activity which I hope will deliver. Back at below 900p I think that the stock is too cheap and with a 10 P/E I would expect the price to be at least 1,100p.
