Now that the Peshmerga seem to be standing firm surely Erbil is safe enough for the Hess guys to get back to their desks. After all Erbil was designated Arab Tourism capital 2014. I'm sure they must have a MacDonalds.
Meantime if somebody could wake up PCI management, we have an interest in 660 sq miles of real estate in Shakrok/Dinartra. There must be some snippet of an update they could throw to us plebs.

Beware, as an old holder of PCI, I warn you Post#57350 is pure Bull Sh*t.

(12bbn and/or 12bnn) is a blatant Ramper Liar, e.g. “…we sell our oil for $200 per barrel to the Trinidad Government” and “we are already producing 50,000 BOPD from TI alone”. All lies.

LGO is a good Co. and at this moment one of the best to invest but please DYOR.

If you want to research, a link in ADVFN with very good Info look at this thread

LGO Energy - Oil Producing assets in Trinidad & Spain

Good luck.

LGO----------------LGO--------------------LGO

I think that the TI deal is done and dusted and we are already producing 50,000 BOPD from TI alone. Neil is waiting to surprise us all and catch the shorters out, he will hit them hard. Pile in now with every penny you can raise because this will be a multibagger by Friday!

* We are immune from WTI prices as we sell our oil for $200 per barrel to the Trinidad Government
* We can open the taps and produce more than Shell and BP combined but Neil does not want to get sand in it
* Instead of Debt like other oil companies we just do an issue daily and yet it does not affect the price as IIs love us
* The Trinidad government said we can operate tax free, in fact they will pay us tax!
* Neil Ritson is down for the next nob-el peace prize
* Our oil drilling machines are better than any one else's, made of a composite alloy that Neil invented before breakfast

Get in now before the rest of numpties on the LOSER threads realise! This is going to be £10 by Christmas!!!!!

12bn follow me and you CANNOT go WRONG!!!!

Its just a year since Tom Hickey's 'steady as she goes' note below.
Little did they know what the year had in store for them boardroom slugfest, Shakrok duster, Kurdistan/Isis threat etc etc.
It would be nice to get an update now that the personal survival skirmishes are over for the moment.

Algeria – You’ve presumably seen that we signed the Avenant/PSC amendment for the Sonatrach pre-emption – nice to get that one done and into the formal completion process, though as per usual there’s no firm timeline for this. There’s Algerian elections in April and Ramadan starts in late June, so we’ve broadly guided June completion. Otherwise the project trundles on and we are out to tender for the FEED study at present, hopefully will award in April – plenty of interest anyway, it seems.

Egypt – Despite the political changes it’s very much business as usual – no production disruption and regular payments in 2014 to date, after a good finish to 2013. The Government upheaval last week was a non-event for us as the same minister (Sharif Isma’il, whom we know well) was reappointed and business continued as normal. We really like the acreage we picked up in the last licensing round and after a few credit rating upgrades towards the end of last year there’s certainly a feeling of more optimism as evidenced by the local stock market being up over 60% since last June. Despite that, it will obviously be important to see the momentum maintained through presidential and parliamentary elections over the remainder of the year.

Bulgaria – quiet enough, if you call producing steadily and generating solid cashflow quiet. We’re considering future exploration options in the acreage, but have no obligation to do so, thus our focus is on optimising the existing production and value. We don’t believe Russia/Ukraine issues will have any real impact on us.

Romania – Getting ready to spud the Muridava well in late march/early April (depends on when rig returns from another operator). It’s a 2 month well, so results in June, most likely. If successful, Muridava has quite a few follow on prospects nearby. We’ll also be drilling more wells on Est Cobalcecsu block later in the year, currently ranking the prospects following last year’s unsuccessful Cobalcecsu South well.

Kurdistan –. Shakrok is drilling ahead in the Triassic, will likely reach TD in mid-late March, at which time we’ll make an announcement (hopefully) confirming the testing plans and anticipated duration for both Jurassic and Triassic horizons, and yes, we’ve already said we’re likely to test the Jurassic. Thereafter it gets interesting because our well site is quite prominently located (on top of a mountain!) so any flaring will likely be very visible for quite a distance around, so we may end up making quite a few announcements….but we’ll just have to wait and see on that one. Dinarta will likely spud in March, been a few issues with avalanches damaging the access roads (it’s on top of a higher mountain) but Hess are getting there. That’s another 150 day well.

Not too much more to say – we’re seeing a little more interest in Italy and the new Government certainly appears favourably disposed towards exploration and energy generally. Our full year 2013 results will likely be early April. From a wider market perspective there’s definitely more interest in the Oil and Gas Sector, with many institutions who haven’t been active over the last 12-18 months finally starting to request meetings and look at valuations – as one broker said last week… “ first question asked by virtually every institution is something along the lines of “am I the only one who thinks it’s time to be looking at this sector again”. I think the answer is that a lot of institutions are coming around to the idea that there’s definitely value in the sector, but are not yet ready to admit that they are looking seriously at this space.”

If Italy bans offshore seismic (prison term for breaching) then PCI can kiss goodby for their offshore research for hydrocarbons.

Herm: $14bn, some investment!

Abdel el-Sisi needs to sort out the domestic gas and LPG price which is heavily subsidised at the moment so PCI can get a decent price. Sisi has made a start but PCI's gas below $2 per 1000cuft at the moment unless PCI get an LNG cargo.

Egypt desperate for gas.
