Day 58 today.

12 days to go to the 70 days as advised by the rig operator to drill SL-1. Hopefully it might be quicker, still in the "news anyday and anytime" zone.

Any detailed testing of anything of significance found at SL-1 will be done by a separate testing rig. The rig drilling SL-1 moves on to Wild Horse-1 to drill that, as soon as SL-1 is finished drilling.

Agree little one,volume is key but AIM is tiny volume at present all over the place.

without any buying, the huge overhang will force the price lower as the broker looks for a new home for the overhang shares.

Friday the mmm were caught sleeping there was no stock about hence the rise. The traders that bought earlier in the week dumped there stock on Friday. Anyway they will be looking to buy in on any drop.

This company is so undervalued compared to the prizes on offer !

Tomorrow is day 57 of up to 70 days.... The update will come when the drilling is complete

Friday might have just been a pump and dump.......opposite of the past days where the traders short MATD with a load of sells in the morning, try to snowball more selling and a drop in the price and then buy back in the afternoon.

So Friday morning they buy some hoping to trigger a quick rise in the price causing watchers to buy thinking news is coming, then they sell off in the afternoon for a quick 5% profit on the day.

8 million shares is not that much over normal averages for volume.

Easy to manipulate this one given nervous holders and watchers...........short attack for a few days until its not making any difference anymore and everyone who is selling has sold, then reverse and pump the price to get watchers buying in and trying to trigger a snowball effect of buyers.

Monday will reveal all, a big 20 million plus shares traded day and then something is leaking, if its back to normal of less than 6 million shares, then not a lot happening.

Always watch the volume imo.........if the volume is not there and not carrying through............its just being manipulated.

Tewkesbury, the trouble with updating as you go is that it suits traders, not investors.

Investors are happy to wait to see the overall picture. Traders just want a quick move up or down in the share price.

So for me I prefer to wait, get the comments about all the findings, along with the implications for the surrounding area prospects that maybe derisked. A good summary from the results.

That would be impossible to deliver if you update as you go, so for me, better to wait for a single RNS with the full drill results.

Spudded 9 Jul 2018, 70 days max to complete, “results end Aug, early September”.

"up to 70 days to complete" from "9 July 2018" takes us to 17th September, so I think they will aim to make an announcement before or on the morning of the AGM on 20th September. Ofcourse the company will already know the well logs for the shallow turbidites and first of the two primary targets.

I personally think they should be updating us on findings as they go, rather than waiting until completion but its not long now either way.

Spud of the Snow Leopard-1 Well

Petro Matad, the AIM quoted Mongolian oil explorer, is pleased to advise the Snow Leopard-1 well (Petro Matad 100%) in the Taats Basin of Block V spudded yesterday, 9 July 2018.

The Snow Leopard-1 well, which is targeting 90 MMBO and is the first of the Company's 2018 four well drilling campaign targeting c.600 MMBO, is planned to drill to a total depth of c.3,350 metres and is expected to take up to 70 days to complete. In the event of a discovery, the Company will bring in a separate rig for testing.

The Company will make a further announcement on completion of drilling operations.

Tewk, debate suggests 50/70 days, probably nearer to 50 imo so there or thereabouts now unless there have been issues.

I thought maximum target depth would be around the 17th September (i.e. based on "70 days to complete" from spudding on 9/7/2018) so just before the AGM on 20th September.

Looking at the chart we had a spike around the time they would be at the first target and now a smaller rise around TD. Here's hoping the market knows. GLA, duc.

Nice little spike to suck in more buyers yesterday before pulling the rug and leaving 99% of all buyers throughout the day holding a loss,(classic overhang tactics.)
3 x normal volume of over 8 million shares mostly buying again, it would not surprise me if this was the last effort by the Mongolians to move shares on before news next week.
