Hi All,

I have taken a position on Personal group today.
I'll explain my rationale later but initially, there's great growth prospects here, plus, it's super cheap and comes with a big dividend.

Patience. Management have the right strategy, there is momentum in operations. They hired loads of Account/Sales people earlier this year, they'll be generating lots of insurance sales in H2.Numbers will be stellar. And hopefully, profit significantly boosted by declining claims as the "pent up post covid" demand for NHS treatment starts to normalise.

If Chelverton really are selling down to 0%, it looks like we're in for a painful few weeks/months as the liquidity here is so bad...Good for me though. I've been waiting for a lower price to top up my holdings.(I hold in the Boon Fund)

Wonder if that is Chelverton finished now You would think that if they had more to sell they would have offloaded a larger chunk Thought there must be a seller.

The share price must be at least 40 percent undervalued 50 percent of the business value is held in the bank after all

The way the announcement reads indicates that the consultancy business is no longer really core. It was really from the previous CEO. They could do with selling this and having two clear divisions, both of which have potential.

Must be an overhang as price refuses to go up on decent buying

I've added a few more. Its doing really well. Only risk is regulatory. Insurance sales and renewals all really positive and Hapi platform doing well. Maybe they should sell the consultancy side of the business as well, as that's a bit of a waste of time in my view. Insurance and the Hapi platform are the two businesses that matter.

Wow!

This is an extract from what Cavendish brokers write about Personal Group this morning:

"Based on the strong underlying operating performance and high levels of recurring revenues, the valuation looks currently disconnected from reality. It is rare to find a company on a FCF yield of c. 10%, a yield of over 7% and FY24E year-end net cash forecast to be £23.6m...."

"DISCONNECTED FROM REALITY." - that's saying something!

1.
The share price is now pushing near 50% cash-backed

Cash £23 million
Market cap £52 million

2.
Buoyant outlook.
The insurance side of the business is producing some outstanding sales growth.
