Pentagon Protected officially granted security clearance to Apple's iPhone and iPad for protective super film technology


The U.S. Department of Defense announced on Friday that it has officially approved Apple devices running iOS 6 or later to access its secure films From PPR.

Must say I'm very impressed with this co.

They go to Thales and offer to put film on their existing windows but persuade them to also buy IP off them for their existing windows.

"Sorry Monsieur, we cant put our film on your glass till you pay that special IP tax thingy"

Great sale.

we need a new BoD's that wants to see s/holder value - the shares are stuck well undervaluing this co - £1.6m mkt cap - the BoD's should be ashamed of themselves

Once again they have failed to make a descent return on any of their contracts - so the market is correct to keep the share price where it is

What's the windows Steve? Can you expand on your answer?
When I spoke to the company I was reminded by them that they don't fit or replace windows.

All this talk about IP is all very well but as Pentagon dont manufacture the films they use or make the windows - they are fitters - what IP is there exactly?

ok thanks for the update Steve - so they are looking at sealing this deal that got delayed due to the IP stand off - can we expect a £16m contract for all the windows Thales' offices need to change under MoD requrements'

so in effect PPR lose the IP on this special window filming - but expect them to be compensated for the loss - considering the amt of value Thales will make on all their various offices worldwide
