09/6/2000 16:17 | Well, I suppose if you are a holder and don't sell and they buy other folk's shares then the liquidity taken out of the market might mean the value of the old Mkt Cap is now divided by a new lesser number of shares and so the price of each of the new lesser number of shares has to go up when compared to the old share price, sorta, kinda. (That sentence is far too long and I am not sure I am looking at things in the correct way. The gist of it is correct but I'm not too sure that is how the accountants amongst us "do it".) | docproc |
