There can't really be a bad news report. If no partner is found, they just keep on looking, and keep shtum.

BTG disagrees with me, but I think MBD will ascend to around 50p quite rapidly, then climb continuously from there on news. Bruce thinks less, more like 30p, but news should cause a rapid ramp, as all the old investors pile back in, especially institutions.

I'm here :)

Feels really good for some impending news on Monotub. Hopefully see some upwards movement on PPB as well. When these two come good, it'll be time for a review, as a LOT of spare cash will have been liberated for quite a lot of people, and will have to go somewhere. We'll need to discuss what looks good.

Going back a few hours, you asked pinkle how long she's been playing the markets and how she stays so cool. I've no idea. But I met with a leading fund manager from Jupiter last year (no names no pack drill) and asked him the same question. He told me how he'd bought a fistful of tech stocks in autumn '99, despite his fund not being mandated to invest in this area of the market. Despite the controversy he sat on them until Christmas and watched a healthy (paper) profit grow. Around him, experienced investors urged him to sell. But he sat tight throughout January and into Feb, watching them grow and grow and grow. Sell, sell, shouted his colleagues. But he sat tight. And finally, on March 10th, on gut feel alone, he decided enough was enough, and dumped the lot. Nasdaq hit its high on March 13 2000, and everything else is history. He (or rather his fund) walked away with a small fortune. I asked him how he knew when to sell. His honest answer was that he didn't know, it was based on experience, gut feel, and a belief in what he did. In his words, some people have the mentality for it, some people don't. IMHO, based on recent events, pinkle probably does. Ya just gotta have faith.
