Patent granted for chewy confectionery compositions
Oxford Nutrascience Group plc ("the Company") has been granted a 20 year UK
patent (from the date of submission, 7 August 2006) for its chewy confectionery
composition technology. The patent covers the Company's technology which allows
sugars to be replaced with fibres and for the product to be fortified with
vitamins and other nutraceutical ingredients.

As outlined in the Company's admission document dated 8 February 2010 the

for a European chewy confectionery patent (number 07251302.1) was submitted on
27 March 2007. The granting of the European patent is expected in due course.

The Company recently announced the launch of its CHEWYZ(TM), a reduced sugar,
high fibre, tasty, vitamin enriched soft chew. Every chew contains 50mg of Omega
3, vitamins A, C, D & E and contain 35% fibre. Chewyz will initially be launched
in Tesco Nutri Centre stores.

Marcelo Bravo, Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer commented,

"The granting of this patent in the UK strengthens the commercialisation of our
chews. Our Chewyz product is healthier than any other chew currently available
in the market.

"This addition to our patent portfolio provides further validation of the
Company's strategy of developing intellectual property that can be successfully
exploited to build a business in the medicine and consumer healthcare sector."
