08/9/2016 11:34 | Assuming Gold demand will be equal to the horrific amount of extra $Dollars required to fend off the destruction of a $Trillion sub prime in Auto Loans,$Trillions of student debt, sub Prime Housing loans,$Trillons of Pensions, crumbling roads, bridges, sewer systems, water systems, energy,Healt then Gold should do what it is supposed to,and OMI just need to exist and enjoy the ride. Assuming Gold does what it should in 2017 onwards, then the so called Market and investors in the Majors will be discussing declining World Gold resources and valuing in the ground assets at beyond anything we have witnessed. In that scenario- all OMI will need to do is get drilling the Waymar assets to set the stock alight from whatever price it is at the time. I am holding to see if,amongst other things, the Waymar acreage can offer a $200 or more value of ounces in the ground - hopefully with an early belief of 1 Million + if the luck of drills come up with any more Bonanza Grades. So - sitting for the useless hindsight of a foresight of "what if",yet reasonably "quite possibly" | richgit
08/9/2016 10:49 | Imagine what would happen to this share price if they announced a wee dividend!!!! say 1p???? | billthebank
08/9/2016 07:43 | Worth noting that consensus forecasts are now 6.98p EPS this year and 8.4p EPS next year, with a wide variation between Cantor and Edison. Not bad against an £18m m/cap at 18.25p: 2017 2018 Date Rec Pre-tax (£) EPS Pre-tax (£) EPS (p) Edison 01-09-16 None 7.20 5.45 9.20 6.98 Cantor Fitzgerald 16-08-16 BUY 8.59 8.66 7.83 9.96 | rivaldo

07/9/2016 15:48 | Reasonable article, although he seems to be taking the average AISC over the last year, not the current AISC. The case is more bullish than he presents, but a balanced article from a journalist is always to be applauded. AISC needed explaining in terms of impressive improvements made though. | photon
07/9/2016 15:26 | OMI have just been tipped on Shareprophets: Extract: "By my rough calculations, if the company were to produce 35,000oz for the current year (guidance is for 35,000 to 40,000 ounces) and if gold prices were to stay buoyant to the extent that an average of $1,300/oz was achievable, then that should bring in a gross profit of $6 million or so, which I would expect to result in a reasonable net profit being made – the company actually made a profit of $1.4 million last year before write-offs and impairment charges." "Orosur is pretty much debt free, aside from a total of $400,000, and had $4.3 million in the bank, along with net working capital of $7 million, so there are no real nasty surprises to come with this one on the financial front" | rivaldo
07/9/2016 10:12 | Can we break through 24p??? shortly? I agree re relative inelasticity re POG this share should really motor when the POG moves like it has Our costs are around $800$ and we are producing on one mine at the rate of 40k ozs a day. Our c/v is under £15M Profit of circa $500 an ounce is $20M to me?? What am I missing? so very $10 upward movement means an extra $400K in our pockets. This share is way under valued!! | billthebank
07/9/2016 09:22 | looks oversold IMO given gold price where it is...DYOR but looking forward to next update... | qs99
07/9/2016 08:30 | Almost vertical climb this morning. RSI still low could go higher. | blueball
06/9/2016 15:52 | Service sector in the US took a bashing after figures this afternoon, hence the big rise in gold today.Labour figures were down as well.Cannot see them even thinking about rising interest rates now.Amazing how share prices drop quicker than rising this share price should be rising strongly | tom111
06/9/2016 11:48 | Nice to see gold on the rise again.could be an interesting week BOJ and EU news this week.Hoping that the gold price has found the bottom now and will move steadily higher in the coming months, cant see why not | tom111
04/9/2016 11:20 | INVESTMENT SUMMARY In a gold market providing little support over FY16, Orosur successfully returned its operations to gross profitability by undertaking a comprehensive strategic review of costs, as well as adeptly handling a number of ore streams delivered to its processing plant. With operational confidence continually building, demonstrated by a second underground mine project in development (San Gregorio West), and aided by a higher gold price, Orosur has increased production guidance for FY17. The new guidance of 35-40koz Au (FY16: 30-35koz) at cash operating costs of US$800-900/oz represents an improvement over FY16 guidance of 14% on production and 6% on costs. Last updated on 01/09/2016 INDUSTRY OUTLOOK We adjust our financial model for the company’s FY16 results and FY17 production and cost guidance and move our valuation forward one year to FY17. We retain our gold price forecasts as per our September 2015 note Safeguarding future production. We have adjusted our FY17 capex assumption for management guidance, from US$3.5m to US$7m, and held flat our assumption for exploration expenditure at US$3m. On this basis and forex movement, our valuation increases 19% from £0.26 to £0.31 per share. Last updated on 01/09/2016 Edison Investment Research | doodlebug4
03/9/2016 11:00 | no one has mentioned the positive news from columbia. cant do any harm to sentiment towards investment in columbiam businesses imho | drago
03/9/2016 09:44 | Been accumulating last week here for inevitable rebound in gold. Results in six weeks should be transformational for a £16 million MC company. An additional bonus is these results are reported one month earlier than most other companies in this space which should allow maximum exposure and a big run up to results. We should see 30p area by then providing gold can push back to recent highs which I fully expect. Price should gap up above 22p to 30p with no horizontal resistance!!! All is good for this reemerging gold company | gotabsirius
02/9/2016 16:26 | imo cant see any more down side to gold after jobs data from US all green light as head towards the elections | tom111
02/9/2016 16:24 | Quite simply- nothing is resolved. The Fed`s muppets will be popping up to say whatever they have been told to (good Cop/Bad Cop)relative to every Yellen hormonal problem through September. As exports virtually don`t exist then keep Gold down for the moment with buying the $Dollar or Goldman`s "Not bad enough". The nonsense that Gold will fear a microscopic rate increase is laughable,as it is the Fed that fears. Bring it on - as come December no doubt the US government will have to become the employer of -Jobs- not geninely required or affordable -so they will need $trillions to create false employment. IMHO | richgit
02/9/2016 10:03 | Couldnt resist Have increased my holding @ 16p | billthebank
02/9/2016 09:18 | Assuming We get a continued Gold run in 2017,then focus will also be on Gold in the Ground for the Majors,as the Market starts to progressively truly revalue resources that become ever scarcer. I daresay in such event that if OMI can squeeze out a drill campaign on the Waymar assets in 2017 then merely the anouncement should set the stock alight from whatever base is forming.. | richgit
02/9/2016 08:40 | Yesterday Evil Knievil noted he'd bought another 100,000 OMI at 16.5p: "By way of housekeeping I bought 100,000 Orosur (LON:OMI) at 16.5p" | rivaldo
01/9/2016 18:46 | Data from US manufacturing is negative, are they really going to put up interest rates when industry over there is struggling. It can only get worse with rate increases.Watch this space if it happens. | tom111
29/8/2016 17:46 | I don't expect gold to pullback much while the miners digest their big gains. $1300 could be the floor. For example, last week the junior miners ETF GDXJ pulled back 8% whereas gold only lost 1%. | abc125 |
